HE is going to win a lot. Cohen or Haanif?  I'll say Sandy. Go Marquette.

No participation trophies  :P

Though this game doesn't count, so... Haanif.   :D

Chapman's Preseason Participation Trophy SOTG Tally:

Carter 1
Cheatham 1

H Ellenson 1
Wilson 1

Clearly it was HE, but Haanif is going to lead this team in scoring in either his junior or senior season - if not both.

Sandy for me. Really good on offense and defense. The only reason MU was in the lead after the first half

I listened.  Chick was courtside. The definitive call, honey?

i only watched the 2nd half... and I nominate Haanif.

I only was able to catch the game on Gametracker so I'm not sure who the SOTG was.  But after watching the highlights, my two observations, besides the fact that HE is a beast, are 1) that was a sick dunk on the break by Wally, and b) Haanif is going to be SOTG a lot of games in his career.
HILLTOP SENIOR SURVEY from 1984 Yearbook:
Favorite Drinking Establishment:

1. The Avalanche.              7. Major Goolsby's.
2. The Gym.                      8. Park Avenue.
3. The Ardmore.                 9. Mugrack.
4. O'Donohues.                 10. Lighthouse.
5. O'Pagets.
6. Hagerty's.

We should have an "other than Henry starter of the game contest", otherwise there will not be much reason to argue. I was impressed with Haanif, but he did his stuff when the game was over. Cohen did it when it mattered. Cohen is my pick for the "other than Henry starter of the game".

HE for overall excellence.

Sandy for exceeding expectations.
Have some patience, FFS.

Well, if it's just down to starting, I'd say Duane, Sandy, Luke, and Jajuan all have an equal claim as "other than Henry starter of the game."

Now STUD of the game may be a different story ;)

bilsu

I meant star of the game. I would think Henry would easily win 80% of these.
