Williams at least had the guts to go to ACC media day. Doesn't make the situation any better, but makes him better at handling this than Pitino is.

Interesting point. From an academic standpoint, having someone else do your homework  is pretty terrible. However, as far as I know prostitution is actually illegal in Kentucky. Depending on the statute of limitations there could be some legal consequences.

In addition to prostitution being illegal, I suspect hooking a minor up with a prostitute also is probably frowned upon.  I suspect at least some of these recruits were minors at the time.

Two different issues.  The age of consent is 16, but the age of majority is 18.  So, while it might be legal to have sex with a 17 year old, he is still a minor. 

"A person is guilty of unlawful transaction with a minor in the first degree when he or she knowingly induces, assists, or causes a minor to engage in: (a) Illegal sexual activity..."  In other words, I stand by my original statement:  helping kids hook up with prostitutes is frowned upon.

I'd be interested to see an overlay of the average IQ of states vs the age of consent. I have nothing but an assumption to base this on, but I suspect it would be an interesting correlation.

I stand corrected. Obviously hooking up kids with prostitutes is frowned upon but I didn't think it would be "worse" because of the age of consent.
