Currently buying student tickets and there is an option to suggest a name for the student section.  Finalists will be revealed and voted on in October.  Suggestions?

What does the USU student section call themselves....maybe we can use that

It could be fun to call the section the golden Avalanche. I mean it's like a massive mountain of gold looking over the court.

The Wigwam.

Or the Best Student Section in the Nation.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

I like the Aerie actually. Golden Horde or Avalanche could be fun as well.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

I think Golden Avalanche is perfect.

1) It ties into our current nickname with use of "Golden"
2) It ties into our past with our old football moniker
3) When 4,000 strong show up it does actually look like an Avalanche of Gold coming down from the rafters
4) It allows many of us the opportunity to think about the Avalanche Super Bar.

Great choice!

The Golden Horde.

How long do you think it would take some Badger Fan to change it to "The Golden Whored"?
Have some patience, FFS.

The Flames -- after St. Joan of Arc Church, where they all go to pray (and ask forgiveness for what they did at the basketball game). As in "Up in Flames" Badgers.

Even better.

They named the student section when I was in school - think it was the 05-06 season -- anyone else remember that? I know Crean's Crew and Golden Avalanche were options, Golden Avalanche won and was announced as such ... for awhile. There didn't seem to be any plan or equity built into the name and it just faded away (obviously). Hopefully this time around there is a plan in place to keep it going.
