I just wanted to put something out to end  a tough week on positive news.  Since we did not get to see HC play in Italy I wanted to share some comments.

1) He is a player....
2) Will be back up PG behind the engine.
3) He has two persona's
On the court he is one determined character.
Off the court funny as heck..perhaps not DG standards, but still a great sense of humor.
4) Can slash and shoot.  He will shoot mid-high 30's for 3 pt this year.
5) 6' 5" legit  will cause some match up issues with smaller guards and will use his length on defense.
Can be something very special if he works hard and uses the coaching he has.  Wojo is a perfect mentor for him.
6) Smart young man.  High IQ  basketball.
7) Best comparison  Michael Wilson  (but better shooter)

I am really looking forward to this season and the next couple of years.  Feels like when the three amigos came in.

Thanks. BD, for ending the week on a super high note

Now wait just one minute there,  isn't late Friday afternoon the time for sneaking out bad news?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Thanks, Big daddy.   It is good to hear that he is ready to contribute.

Great post, Daddy.

High praise indeed for Haanif as Wilson was drafted 47th overall by the Cavs.

I remember, as you do, that he was not a good outside shooter. He shot over 50% for his career, but only because he got a lot of points off steals and at 6'4" was able to get inside on offense. Plus Worthen & Rivers dominated the ball a lot. But, those were some bad shooting backcourts.

If Haanif has the career that Wilson had, I will be ecstatic.

I think it is too early to cede the starting PG or the majority of the playing time at PG  to Carter over Haanif. Haanif brings a  lot to the table. I am not putting down Carter by the way either. High IQ and Length go a long way though and the mismatches will be highly valuable to us.

Micheal Wilson was one helluva of player for us and putting Haanif in the same paragraph as him says a lot.

Good dude too. Got a chance to talk to him on a LIMO once. Nice enough to actually start up a conversation with me and answer some questions. Also, one question for BD, is Traci aware of his nickname/gas it stuck with teammates and coaches?

Doesn't surprise me.  I spent a lot of time on 6th Floor McCormick when we were both Freshman.  Super nice guy.  He had too spend time with us when Artie was, shall we say, entertaining the ladies.
