They'll be amongst the next targeted by the ethno-fascists after they work their way through brown and black people.  I think it's safe to say after minorities are removed and put into deeper ghettos, we'll target religious undesirables next and then physically undesirables.  Genetic purity is a classic fascist goal.

From WaPo e-newsletter:

Cancer diagnoses are rising sharply among young people in America's Corn Belt.

Rates among 15- to 49-year-olds are rising more rapidly in Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Nebraska, Minnesota and Indiana than in the U.S. as a whole, a Post analysis found.

Why? Scientists are perplexed. Some residents fear the land is making people sick.

Congrats to Wisconsin, by far the leading state for bird flu detections - 3,572,020.

Washington is next at 1,965,700, followed by Minnesota at 710,720. No other state has more than 133,000.

Elon Musk launched a rival to Wikipedia.

What is it? Grokipedia, named for the billionaire's "truth-seeking" AI chatbot, Grok. Musk says his new AI-written online encyclopedia is an unbiased Wikipedia alternative.

An early version went live yesterday. It suffered from technical difficulties and glaring errors in its articles. Some passages appeared copied from Wikipedia.

It's about time! Tens of millions of Americans will find Racist Wikipedia very useful.

I mean its no less of a joke than Wikipedia is.  Not saying Grokpedia is some refreshing beacon of knowledge, but Wikipedia is such a funny counter-point for anything concerning facts and truth, not subjectives.  Its always a fun quick resources to get started on some stuff, but its always fun to speak to actual experts about certain topics and get their opinion on the flaws in Wiki entries.  The more offbeat the topic, the more likely its filled with errors.  I personally love clicking citations and seeing the sometime hilarious source material its anchoring from.

Your opinion of Wikipedia seems antiquated.  "get started on some stuff" is exactly what any encyclopedia is for, and in that regards, it's very comparable.

If someone cited Encyclopedia Britannica as a source, that was rock solid.  If someone cites Wikipedia as a source, its very debatable to its soundness depending on the topic.  I had a former coworker who was a bit of an odd duck.  He'd edit random blatantly untrue things into Wikipedia articles for his own amusement.  They'd often stay there for weeks, if not months.  2 notable examples that stood out to me were in the history section of a major state university and another in a notable Civil War battle, not like he was just editing the page of little known athletes or random cities/towns.

And FWIW, I use Wikipedia ALL THE TIME.  And find it fantastic for certain topics.  But I always find it amusing when its used as some sacrosanct source of information or whatnot.

Amusingly, if you Google "Grokipedia", the first result is the Grokipedia entry...from Wikipedia.  How meta.

Grok has been plagued by racism, antisemitism and other bigotry, and I'd expect the same exceptional results from this venture by the gentleman who likes to make Nazi salutes and repost Nazi propaganda.

Grokipedia says Winston Churchill was the villain of WWII.

To Wags point, Wiki certainly isn't perfect, but at least it tries to be a benevolent source of information. I'm far more skeptical of the motivations behind the launch of Grokipedia.
