My guess is that Nova game on Feb 27 will be National Marquette Day.

Have some patience, FFS.

I think the opener is at Seton Hall.

That will do fine. A decent test to warm up with but one we should still win.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Probably suiting...those never seem to go well, do they?

We better make hay early, those last three are brutal. Probably the expected top three teams in the league in our last three games. Thankfully 2/3 are at home. My initial gut glance says 11-7.

Reminds me a bit of 2006, when MU played Georgetown and Pitt the span of three days. Won both and locked up a bid.

A few thoughts...
1) Everything is Wed. or Sat., except for 2 Tues. games.
2) Some nice weekend road trip opportunities: 1/2 at Georgetown, 1/23 at St. Johns, 2/6 at Xavier, 2/20 at DePaul, 3/5 at Butler
3) @DePaul on a Saturday - "this is our house"
4) Sat. night game against Creighton - that should be a fun one
5) Only 1 conference game weeknight 8:00pm start time, and it's against Georgetown so it's worth it.
6) Overall, the conference schedule looks very favorable for attendance. 5 Sat. games, 4 weeknight, but Seton Hall is basically a weekend, Georgetown and DePaul will get decent crowds, which leaves Providence as the most challenging from an attendance standpoint.

Any ideas why we are playing a non-conference game at the end of January (Stetson Jan 27)?

Just noticed that.  Lots of teams play non-cons once the conference season starts, but it seems like a while since MU did it.  Senior night a few years back maybe?

Stetson?  In January?

Sweet fancy moses.

Looks like we will go 23-9 on the schedule.

Re: Stetson.   My best guess is that Wojo doesn't want a week without a game.

Pretty sure it was just a timing issue. Looking for another buy game and that happened to be the only availability. I also wonder if part of the thought was limiting the number of games over winter break. They have a 9-day layoff in mid-September (between UW and Chicago State) but that's finals week. Better to hope you can get some attendance by having the game in the middle of the conference season than placing it in the middle of finals week when many students won't attend and STHs are beginning their holiday vacations.

That's a big one for me.  Last year I think every weeknight home game started at 8pm or later except one, so nice to see that there are only four such games this season.

Wish they could have pushed the Presbyterian game on 12/27 back to noon...would make it easier to get home for the Packer game at 3:25pm.

Curious for the breakdown on that one. It's a 31-game schedule, so are you including Valley City State or expecting a first round Big East loss after winning at least 10 regular season games?

Sorry, I misremembered one game. 23-8. No source, just a prediction.

But why one of worst teams (336 out of 350 in kenpom) in the country?

Isn't it fairly obvious that they wanted to put together a schedule where they could rack up a bunch of wins?

Already getting the @Butler and @Xavier trips together. Anyone else looking at any roads games this year?

You are, without a doubt, a top 5 poster here. Quite possibly the best. Either you or the good Doc.
