Place $100 on the Colts at 12-1.

After last night I don't have $100...stupid Paris took everything I won at Ceasars Palace.

I once knew a friend of a friend who went through his entire bankroll BEFORE he even checked into his hotel.

That's why you always take the cab directly from McCarren to your hotel... no detours to the bunny ranch.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Blackjack tables in that stupid low fresco'd ceiling area murdered me a few years ago.  Highlighted by a Mexican guy in a bolo tie and large cowboy had sitting in first position and engaging in every move that encourages a table to contemplate murder.  Hitting on 15 against a 4? Check.  Staying on 14 against a face card?  Check.  Splitting 3s against a 7?  Check.  Even if the overall effect was minimal, the vibe and karma kills were massive.

I also avoid craps tables at Caesars and Bellagio, never had any luck.  Despite disliking both Planet Hollywood and Harrahs, Ive raked at both a few different times.

I was rolling at Flamingo and Cromwell. I was shooting and got 5 out of the 6 points at each casino. Almost made people a lot of money with fire bet and also repeated some points and was hitting numbers the hard way. Table loved me over there.

It was funny, it was only me and my buddy starting out at the Cromwell table and by the end of my run, almost had the whole table full. Got a lot of tips from other players as well, bout $100 at Flamingo and $150 at Cromwell.

I never understood the whole Vegas buffet thing. Buffets are never good at any price.

Was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed those dogs. I'm usually very picky with hot dogs, I like them greasy and it wasn't though it was still delicious. Good call.

Is the Cromwell good?  I haven't been since it opened.  It was under construction 2 years ago and then last year I was at the complete other end of the Strip.  I'm heading to Vegas in a week and will check it out if it's worthwhile as I'm staying at Paris...funny enough

I like it a lot. Very clean, small casino but it was never over packed. Standard $10 minimums during the day. Didn't play blackjack there, but craps table was fair and roulette seemed fair the one time I played it. Probably my favorite spot that trip.

Suggestions please!

I had an epiphany while running my six tonight...the Porn Industry has an annual pow wow and awards gala in Vegas every January. Their gig runs the same time as a Red Flag Fighter Weapons Exercise. Red Flags have a couple hundred fighter pilots from the USAF, USN, USMC, NATO and anyone who flies F 16s. The merge of fighter pilots and porn starlets tearing up Vegas at once is breathtaking.

I had a couple buddies who flew B-1s (affectionately known as the BOne) for the KS Air Guard (aka KANG) which sent a six ship to play in Red Flag. The Bone drivers, knowing their TDY was the same time as the porn convention had those lick and stick squadron zappers made up and were running around town applying them to various body parts of porn starlets.

I watched as my buddy Coma asked a rather well known starlet if she would like to be "Boned by the KANG." She seriously contemplated that and replied, "I don't think I've ever done that!" When Coma explained it was a lick and stick squadron tattoo she immediately flopped one out and allowed Coma to generously moisten the target before attaching the KANG Bone to her bosom as a crowd of onlookers cheered him on with tremendous gusto.

I am not a particular fan of Vegas but it is guaranteed laugh if you hit town when the porn industry is gathered there.

Awesome story.  My favorite sport in Vegas is people watching.

Wow. Didn't know Fremont street got upgraded.

It's the "old" Vegas, pre-strip.

But it was seedy. Good to hear it's cleaning its act up.

If that's the case, its a better place for slots. They're usually looser there.

still not sure that i like the canopy over the street-it is pretty cool when they run sports scores on it.  the golden nugget cleaned up pretty good and had a fantastic meal at their steak joint-vic anthony's.  have to trot over to binions just to say you were there-lots of chit went down there over the days-i mean real chit that makes the rest of vegas look like disney

Yeah.  Vegas changes so quickly that I wouldn't necessarily take the advice of anyone who hasn't been there in the last couple of years.  No offense.   :-*
Have some patience, FFS.

I am not sure if Coma has a tat. What has always amazed me is I have seen a lot of guys engaged in the most outrageous behavior while in the murky depths of alcohol-fueled depravity...and know that they are now hauling paying customers around the world for UA, AA, Delta, etc...

Coma flies the line for AA out of DFW...

Paris is where I had my single worse Blackjack experience that nearly sent me into a murderous rage.  Full $5 table at Paris late morning on a Tuesday, with everyone playing the right way except for the loose cannon next to me but even he hadn't been too bad.  I'm a progressive better with blackjack and had been on a heater so I had $150 down.  Cards come out and I've got a pair of Aces with the dealer showing a 6...I'm in heaven.  Everyone stays until we get to the a$$hat next to me who has a pair of kings and decides to F'ing split them....draws a queen and a 10.  I'm next and split my aces, get a 6 and a 7.  Last guy stays, dealer has 16, hits and draws a 3!  I went from winning $450 to losing $300 because this jack wagon didn't know how to play

Didn't play blackjack for a couple of days after that one....lot of craps though which is usually a blast
