Let's just say it's best for both sides that NN isn't coming to MU in the fall.  For a lot of reasons.

Nick Noskowiak has committed to Iowa State, sources told ESPN.

I'm convinced Iowa State has a recruiting budget of about $200/year. They just call guys that commit elsewhere and say "If you're good enough for Marquette/Michigan State/UNLV you're good enough for us. We'd recruit the standard way, but the Mayor spent our recruiting budget on burgers and pizza fries again."

Even tho I don't like Iowa State ending up with a bunch of guys that originally committed to MU, I do like their program because they are another high major program in Big 10 country that does really well and is better than their B1G counterpart.

As you noted ISU> Iowa

But (Thinking bigger picture) ...

Creighton > Neb
ND > IU and Purdue
Pitt > Penn State
NU and Ill are just bad ... someone/anyone can be better than them.
Seton Hall > Rutgers
Georgetown > Maryland

Not that unusual that high major programs do well in "Big 10 country"

First high schooler they landed since 2012. Every offer we have out, they want the same kid.

Given his turmoil in his life, on again off again relationship with MU, leaving his HS team, not playing when he returned,  leaving High school altogether,  the angry tweets about his father and on and on .... I would be surprised if he lasts more than 1 or 2 seasons.  Reminds me of Malik Harris.

I hope I'm wrong.

Both Matt Thomas and Monte Morris were high schoolers in the class of 2013.
Geogios Tsalmpouris was a high schooler in the class of 2014.

Yeah I can agree with all of that.

This is a very good development for Nick.  I think he will do well there. Also nice for Deonte to have another friendly face on the team. Adds to chemistry.

*Sigh* I miss when Illini basketball was good.

Actually, Illinois is now on the upswing with Groce.  Just taking time.
