@paulcoro: The Suns will sign 6-foot-3 SG Jerel McNeal to a 10-day & let A.J. Price go. McNeal, 27, scored 18.5 ppg for D-League affiliate Bakersfield.

Way to go, Jerel! Good to see him getting another chance.

Good to hear.  IIRC, he still hasn't officially logged a minute, no?

chapman

Please, please, please play him!  Deserves to log some minutes after all the work he's put in.

HutchwasClutch

Glad to hear this - hope his play forces the Suns to keep him around a while.  One of my all-time favorite Warriors.

So what's the scorecard for MU in the NBA vs. UW?  5-1 now I believe.  And their fans are incredulous when a player like Diamond commits elsewhere?  What do they think these 5 star recruits aspire to?

HutchwasClutch

I guess it's 5-2, didn't know that Devin Harris is still hanging on in Dallas.  But that's all they got, one guy hanging on to an NBA job by a thread, and another role player at best (Harris) vs. our guys thriving (three of them for sure anyway).

Got to find the positives in a week like this.

We got 6 with Jerel.

7 if you count Doc as a coach!!

Who am I forgetting - Wade, Matthews, Butler, Crowder, Jerel...?  Doesn't look like 'Zar is in the league right now.

Novak. I think bucky has 3 though. Harris, Leuer and Steisma.

HutchwasClutch

Forgot about Steve (shows you how closely I pay attention to the NBA, especially this time of year).

Steimsma, yep, he's with Toronto.

Ok, 6-3 I guess.  Still a rout in our favor, not to mention in terms of impact.

Yup when you put impact in terms it's clearly us.

3 guys that are/will get paid big and Jae has a serious role with the celts.

Wow, this is a pleasant surprise tonight.  I loved Jerel and I'm really happy he got another shot. Hopefully he gets some minutes.  He's been so persistent.  I hope it's rewarded.

ChicosBailBonds

Hope he can stick.  Happy we have so many NBA players, but I'd rather them doing it on the court for MU.  Anything after MU is great, but not as great.

What an unnecessary, sanctimonious non sequitur.

Moving along, awesome for Jerel!

Yes, it would be nice if the Warriors could be playing Wade, Crowder, Butler and a healthy Matthews right now.

If only they could invoke the O'Tule Grande rule!

Favorite jerel moment... My junior year at MU

http://youtu.be/X4kRaPtKUmc

IIRC it wasn't televised but I remember listening to Homer's call like it was yesterday.

Galway Eagle

Just hope he actually gets on the court this time around.  Last two times must've been heart breaking to sit on the bench and not even be given a shot
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

WarriorFan

They play Golden State on Thursday... let's hope it's a blowout so he gets some run.

We had a group crowded around a computer with some terrible stream that froze for that entire play. We were tied, and they had the ball, and all of a sudden, we had won. Took a while to figure out what happened.

It was televised here in the Milwaukee area.

Awesome news for Jerel! Well deserved.

That game was not televised. Only option was the USF stream, which was their scoreboard feed. Remember listening to it on the radio in Campus Town with my roommates.

PuertoRicanNightmare

I'd love to see Jerel receive one of those Marquette in the NBA banners.

He deserves one. We need him to log some very, very well-earned minutes. Dude is a grinder.
