On a different note from the whole Nick/open scholarship topic, why is the MU spirit shop selling a Marquette #3 jersey that's not Wade's. Isn't #3 retired?

Just because it doesn't say Wade on the back doesn't mean it's not a Wade Jersey. Do they usually sell pre-printed names? Honestly don't know because I'd never buy a jersey.

It's their current style of jersey, so I would assume it's not a "Wade" jersey.

But everyone does that. Throwback jerseys with modern player names, modern jerseys with the names of team legends. It's just marketing recognizable players/numbers and the current jersey.

From my understanding they cannot put named on jerseys. See college video games.

Pretty sure that they can for Wade or maybe that was just when he was signed to Jordan as well? I just know I've seen plenty of Wade Marquette jerseys that don't look like shoddy quality.

Correct, not of any current players.  Honestly, I'm not aware of any former players names on the backs either from a campus connected store anywhere.  People can get stuff mocked up easily at stores that will add names, but I'm not aware of any from bookstores (MU, UCLA, Michigan, Alabama, etc).

Speaking of the Spirit Shop, is there a media guide this season? It's usually available in a PDF on the MU website by mid-Jan., but not this year.

Yeah, my kid has a 70's-era untucked jersey with Wade's name on the back. I think he got it at Champs.

The last 2 or 3 I have not liked.  Did not have the historical information of the ones in the past.  IMO

Heard the pre-season & in-season transfer thing is a permanent plan, so the desire is avoid a static roster that lives on forever.
