This lame argument is rehashed every couple of months around here, and I'm indifferent to that.

However, the title of this thread seems to target Rick Smith, which is pretty bad.  There are few, if any, better supporters of Marquette athletics.

Such is the reason we deliberately and consciously call R.A. the "jump around guy" instead of using the acronym.

And yes, it is lame.  Just like the "waaaaaaaaa.... big heads" and the "waaaaaaaaa... Zombie Nation" and "waaaaaaaaaa.... I believe" and "waaaaaaaaa.... too many sweater vests" and "waaaaaaaa.... student section sucks" and "waaaaaaaaaa.... B&G room ran out of cookies again."

Marquette, for a mid-sized private university, has a great fanbase and tremendous student section support when compared to similar schools.

Some people just don't realize how good they have it.

I realize he's an MU fan, but without him we wouldn't do the Jump Around thing, which is, like it or not, a Badger thing. We should not be doing Badger things.

In his defense, I'm thinking that he didn't just start jumping around until he heard the music, so how can anyone put it on him?
