True .. I think I've only heard 4-5 of these in-huddle bits .. but all of them have been fluff.   Keep waiting for some coaching adjustment speak, but so far zip.

And I would be willing to be that's exactly what the producers at FS1 want us to hear: all the fluff.  I don't think the coaches would appreciate the network showing the plays they draw up, in-game adjustments, match-up switches, offensive and defensive playcalls, etc...  I don't recall hearing anything that much different from Wojo compared to other coaches.

That was a head scratcher. I know we only got 7 guys. But he had 2 fouls and was playing like ass and still wasn't pulled even for a minute

He's earning his minutes - what don't you understand about that.  He has 3 assists and 2 rebounds.

Ners has polluted this board so much that every time JaJuan turns it over, I take a mental note that I can use as ammo in the JJJ/Derrick arguments.

Yes. It's a flip of a coin whether he's going to contribute or disappear or make bone head plays. Because he is so unreliable (and frankly, even a "good" game for him really is usually not a huge contribution) I would rather sandy take his minutes. Sandy might not always contribute as much, as today's game illustrates so far, but the gap is not so great that it outweighs getting the younger player more experience.

This is not how coaches think.  Wojo will coach to win THIS game.  If he would sit Juan and give his minutes to Sandy, what message does that send to the rest of the team? That we're giving up on this season?  I think a message of quitting has a much more detrimental effect to the program long-term than throwing Sandy a few extra minutes. With 8 guys (7 tonight) he's still going to get plenty of minutes to gain experience.

I prefer the message Wojo is sending by playing to win now, it says that as long as he's at Marquette they are going to fight tooth and nail every single night.
