In my day students had reserved seats so we did not have to line up...thank God. I can remember a 3 week stretch where the temperature did not get above zero.

The world as we knew it ended when James Scott decreed that the Camp Out was nothing more than an excuse for binge drinking, herbal self-medication, and indulging in a variety of debauched sexual rituals.

Kirby?

Good Lord.  I was going to guess Kirby as a joke.  I was there when he was a student.  He started bouncing at the Gym, and then bartending at The Harp, I think. I am amazed.

Whatever happened to those photos on the wall of the Gym? Those are priceless.

Couple good ones still around family and rest went to admirers. My favorite was the pic of the Garden marquee and Butch in Atlanta.

Folks in the Twin Cities... I am leaning toward finding a restaurant/bar near Hopkins HS for the game. Then, right after heading to Hopkins. Henry & Rice Lake are playing Minnetonka at 2:15 pm.

Who else is coming nh?

Hard to go gluten and carb free when making to pilgrimage to RC.  Blondie would turn in her grave.

He's that soft hey?

Speaking of pregame activities, I will be in Bloomington for the Indiana/Savannah State game on Saturday. Any questions for Coach Tan Crean should I happen to run into him?

Thinking about going to Turners for pre-game.

How big of a bar area does it have?  Is it set up well to accommodate a pre-game crowd, or is it more of a sit-down restaurant atmosphere?

SuddenSam

Decent size bar area - fairly good size square bar top of steps when you walk up from street entry.  Then restaurant seating on both sides.  Some room for spillage into that.  Guessing it would have as significant pre-game crowd as any other close by.

Spotcheck Billy

being that it will be a sellout crowd, if you get to Turners after the bar stools are filled up the bar gets 3-4 deep of folks standing around trying to get served

we never sat at the tables but I'm sure they have wait service

With that being said, that is why I usually go to Trinity, hardly ever a wait, close, enough to walk has trolley service, good service and decent food

I really like Pourman's. It's on Water by Mcgillycuddy's. They have booths where you can buy a certain amount of beer (ie. 48 ozs) and they have 4 different taps in the booth. The last time I went it was 4 different New Glarus beers. Otherwise, they have a very good selection of beers.

Also, I'm pretty sure the owner was in the Inside Marquette Part 3 video playing in the coaches' game, so he has a connection to the program.

So where is everyone meeting up? I might just go to the German beer house. But up for anything
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.
