Hell I rushed the court when MU beat a pretty average Notre Dame team in 1989.  I'm not afraid to admit that.

Only time I ever "stormed" anything was in March of 1977. And we had a much better reason than beating Becky Vadger.

I used to storm the concessions at the half  for my armload of beers to tide me over the next 20 minutes

The Juan/Wojo sideline exchange was odd and the camera stayed with it... Juan clearly said F U to Wojo and then a huddle formed with Wojo on the outside doing nothing. Several players looked at Wojo to see his reaction but nothing while the camera was on them. I know heat of the action and all that but was a telling exchange.

I just watched it again.  Original argument was between Juan and Derrick.  Wojo went after Juan, at which point Juan mouthed something about, "that's not my man, FU." He got pulled away by STJ as the players tried to huddle.  Juan actually then pushes Taylor's arm off of him. Dawson then talks to Juan to get him back in the huddle.  I thought the most telling sign was after about 10 seconds, everyone, including Juan was back focused on Wojo.  Really nothing and was over in 10 seconds.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

We beat Wisconsin, that is definitely an appropriate storm the court scenario.

One observation that I will add is that Josh Richardson made my list of most hated players. Threw Juan to the ground on that rebound. Unnecessary and dirty play. Should have been a flagrant IMHO

He played like a man after that so i'll order a F Bomb nightly to the coach if this play keeps up....

I feel like Derrick is just better at coming off the bench. Like a Ben Gordon of sorts. He had great games when he was not starting.

It was shortly after the dustup that Juan fought his ass off to stay with a rebound and put it back in. Motivation.

Great to have the victory.  We beat a team predicted to finish no. 13 in SEC, so while not huge, it is much improved over that Omaha and NJIT stretch.  Our energy level allowed us to compete and win over the Vols, but Bucky will be a whole 'nother animal.  Surely they will use Duke as a warm-up game to their Super Bowl Sat. at the BC.

I am not a storm-the-court proponent, but ... if our kids were to choose an occasion to storm the court, a win over our rival and #2 team in the country certainly would be one to choose.

Agree on Richardson. I was surprised it wasn't a flagrant. They'll call an accidental brush of the elbow across a guy's chin a flagrant, but not an intentional throw-down? Oy.

He did NOT tell Wojo to F off.

I taped the game so I revisited the exact play. Juan took an ill advised shot. Tennessee came back and scored. Wojo called timeout. As the players huddled you can see Derrick saying something to Juan. Juan then says to Derrick "it was one f'in jump shot!"  Wojo barks something at Juan, who then yells to wojo "I'm allowed to f'in shoot!"  Wojo screams something back, and then Steve Taylor grabs and pulls Juan away.

We then went on a tear and never looked back.

While my lip reading skills are universally know to be unparalleled (joke), it really wasn't hard to see what was said. The camera was right on Juan's face.

A bunch of nothing.  Two competitors yelling at one another.  That's it.

I am an old guy telling all the students...if MU wins.....30 years from now you can either say "I rushed the court and it was awesome"  or "I wish I rushed the court but I didn't have the nerve."    Your decision.   Pick which story to tell to your kids in 20 years.

This.

Juan was a straight kitten in the beginning of last night's game and looked as interested in playing hard as the OSU quarterback is interested in playing school. After the tea party, he was fully engaged from the moment he was brought back on the court.

All this is good, it shows passion and intensity.

If, on the other hand, players were afraid to "do something" because they would incur the wrath of the coach, that would be a bad thing.

Juan is correct, it is allowed to take a F-ing jump shot.  Was it ill-advised?  Juan and Wojo were "discussing it."

If this is what happened, it sounds like Taylor was the adult. Juan was off base. Not to be expected from a "captain".

That game broke an 8 game losing streak against the Domers. ( I wish I could type out what my roommates and I called Notre Dame fans then.  All in the spirit of ND hate.  Very offensive now, but hilarious back in the day)

We talked about naming a building after KO because he beat them in his first attempt.  Totally appropriate.

10.   Wiscy next.   Try to not get rolled or injured.

Against a team we have more talent than and are playing at home????

MU wins next week and the students storm the court. Heard it here first.

As much as I hate the Badgers, i dont see that happening. They will blow us out.

Aren't you that dude claiming ellansons visit went bad? I don't trust your prediction. Not seeing a win either but you're a fairly pessimistic predictor.

No talk of the Vol taking a run at Teve in the post game handshake line?  Great effort by the guys, they grew a ton. The zone with De is pretty damn tough for the size.  I'd say the MSU game was MU's best.

It was never mentioned.  I was very much unimpressed with Donnie Tyndall as a coach.  They wanted Cuonzo gone and brought in this guy?

TallTitan34

In regards to the court storming talk, the Bradley Center will never allow it to happen.

Barricades are placed in front of the student section a few minutes prior to the end of the game.  Bradley Center ushers then line the back.  One or two people may sneak out somewhere but a mass court storming will never happen.

Winless Marquette could defeat #1 Wisconsin by 40 points and they would not allow a court storming.
