Tums Festival

Wojo swore at him first. Juan did not end up on the bench, appeared to fire up the team.

Reminiscent of Al and his players.

10.   Wiscy next.   Try to not get rolled or injured.

Against a team we have more talent than and are playing at home????

MU wins next week and the students storm the court. Heard it here first.

Marquette isn't more talented.  More athletic maybe, but let's get real here.  UW is a deserved top 5 team in the country.

MU has to hit shots and not turn the ball over.  But Bo is 100 times the coach that Tyndell is and well have a much better plan than Tennessee did.  Good think UW has to deal with Duke and may be coming off a bit of a letdown.

I'm actually hoping wisconsin beats the piss out of Duke. That way they're riding high and overlook MU.

I don't think Marquette is more talented than the Badgers.  But Marquette does have 6 top 100 players on their team.  There is talent there for them to win many games.

As much as it turns my stomach, Wiscy deserves their accolades.   They have a tough game coming up midweek and MU has a week to recover and prepare.   I think Wiscy wins, I just want the same level of competitiveness/energy/passion/smart play/hustle/smart basketball that MU showed for 110 of the 120 minutes they played in Florida.

Box score.   Nobody else with more than 6.   Outrebounded nearly 2-1.   Still won.   Savor.

I feel like Derrick is just better at coming off the bench. Like a Ben Gordon of sorts. He had great games when he was not starting.

Lol, yeah they are really similar players   ::)

If MU wins, do it anyway.   You will never regret it.

You mean nobody without a Wilson last name more than 6?

I am an old guy telling all the students...if MU wins.....30 years from now you can either say "I rushed the court and it was awesome"  or "I wish I rushed the court but I didn't have the nerve."    Your decision.   Pick which story to tell to your kids in 20 years.

Hell I rushed the court when MU beat a pretty average Notre Dame team in 1989.  I'm not afraid to admit that.

Just shrug and walk away when we beat #2 UW.

No need to rush the court vs. a team who would have lost to Oregon in the round of 32 last season, had Bucky not been playing in front of a sellout home crowd.  They may be on top, and be all full of themselves right now...but we are coming for them.

That's the benefit of playing well during the regular season and getting a high seed.

4everwarriors

The only time I was on the court was at the Omni in Atlanta in 1977. Regret not droppin' the Fruit of the Looms and moonin' Curt Gowdy.

The Juan/Wojo sideline exchange was odd and the camera stayed with it... Juan clearly said F U to Wojo and then a huddle formed with Wojo on the outside doing nothing. Several players looked at Wojo to see his reaction but nothing while the camera was on them. I know heat of the action and all that but was a telling exchange.

Sure.  Got hammered at the Lanche that night.  Got up Sunday and headed to the Science Library to study for finals.

Not much to regret about anything that weekend.

Rebounding, ugh.  Thankfully Juan continues to fight for boards (and Wojo will drop an F-bomb on him if he doesn't).  2 in 26 minutes from Taylor, 1 in 18 minutes from Burton is just not acceptable.  Know we had some good transition activity from the guards, but still 1 in 35 minutes, 0 in 15 minutes, and 2 in 36 minutes are poor lines.  But more important that the eFG was below 50% and not hitting 70% again.

Administration behind Wojo and the team 100%. Awesome to see Lovell tweet after every game.

It's not going to be a true home game, plenty of Badger fans will make it out.  Also, don't let wins over poor to middling SEC and ACC teams go to your head.

It'll be a home game. It's not like when we play Depaul and outnumber their fans at the alstate arena. 80-20 marquette to badger fan split.

Duane had more boards than Taylor and Burton combined. Thank God they missed a TON of shots (3-20 from 3). Hope Luke is a rebounder.

On the plus side, Derrick was good today and Duane was GREAT. If he was healthy last year we would have made the tourney. If he AND Vander were available we would have been damn good. Guards game.

Well. Only one game away until we find out how Luke Fischer is.
