Halftime thoughts
1.   No confidence from anyone on this team at all.
2.   I predicted 10-14 wins this year.
3.  Too much isolation on offense.    That 3 man weave up top was tired under Crean.   It hasn't aged well.
4.   Gutsy call putting Juan back in.   May have saved the game.
5.   More Deonte in the wide post, please.
6.   This game is winnable.   Would not be surprised to see MU find itself in the second half and win by 15.

Sooooo, what's everyone drinking tonight?

I think, no, I know I am going to crack the bottle of Woodford Reserve that I bought tonight.

The bottle said "Whiskey" and it is a gallon. All of that.

GoldenWarrior11

It's clear the group is pressing right now.  They have zero confidence.  On offense, ball movement is sticking, and we are forcing up way too many bad shots.  No one looks ready to shoot (or want the ball for that matter).  Defensively, there are just no excuses.  Group has been burned by backdoor cuts all game.  We are undersized, but that is no reason to not be blocking out.

Even if we assume that Wojo can not coach, which I do not believe is the case, where is our floor leadership?

Is it just me or is Fox's Alan Massengale a huge douche?  Thank you

Just back from a lovely dinner with Mrs. Legs in time for the end of the first half.  Enjoyed some Greenbush brewery Remnant of the Dragon--double red IPA - sublime.  Life is good.

And Jimmy buckets has 3 steals and 16 points at halftime.  Ahhh, life is good.

I was drinking beer, switched to brandy at halftime.

6.   This game is winnable.

This is the saddest thing I've read in a while. Has it really come to this ?

The Lens

Tough match up for us.  We only have 5 Top 100 players  in  our rotation.

NJIT certainly has more.

They need to stop the pick and roll, is tough to watch that. Let's see who steps up
in the second half.

Ben Howland must be thinking "I could do better than this."

Buzz Williams woulda did better than this....

Yes.   And while I did not expect it to start against Omaha and NJIT, anyone who thought this was going to be a great team was deluding themselves.     I haven't given up and believe with every fiber of my being that this team will be better in 3 months.   But better is a relative measure.

PuertoRicanNightmare

NJIT is actually somewhat talented. They're better than the New Hampshire team that almost beat us last year.

I vote Burton will followed by Anderson. Others appear to be in a fog at this point.

Interior D is so painful.  Not looking forward to the 50 Kaminsky drops next Saturday.

Buzz is highly undervalued.  I'm nearly positive that he worked harder as a coach than Wojo could ever imagine. To do what he did before he was on bad terms was damn impressive.   Elite Eight, S16's.

Sandy got burned bad on that a couple times. Just painful to watch this defense.

Buzz was a great coach.... Not a great exit... but overall he did wonders for the program....

Blackhat

The pick n roll is the hardest move to defend in basketball.  Takes a true team effort.

Yes, against New Jersey Institute of Technology......Can't make it up.

This board will melt after the next five games.  Ga. Tech, MSU/Rider, Wis., ASU.....

They probably pull this out in second half and should.

MU has been brutal in last few games. Even with Fischer coming, I only hope their overall record at end of year beats the 5-21 mark in 1963 or 8-18 mark in 1964.  Rooting for Wojo, but him and staff must be shell shocked with the performance so far.
