Do you know this crotch grabber?
By John Jagler

Story Created: Nov 14, 2007

We are in a frantic search to track down the man who grabbed Packers Wide Receiver Ruvell Martin's junk at Sunday's game against the Vikings.
The guy  in the white at the far right literally left a mark on the Packers wideout.  Donald Driver, during his regular Greenhouse segment on Newsradio 620 WTMJ said what happened to Ruvell "just ain't right" and that it's the talk of the lockerroom.  We know this was a Milwaukee season ticket "holder" game, so chances are this guy's i-d will be known to us.  Here's a more disturbing look at the grab taken by photog Allen Fredrickson ...

I know it looks in the picture above that it's the guy in the green doing the illegal procedure, but it's an optical illusion.  The video proves it's the guy in the white.  Shoot me an email if you know the crotch-grabber. We need to talk to this guy. jagler@620wtmj.com

unless they change their picture, the yahoo fantasy sports homepage has a picture of this encounter between Martin and the favre fan, seemingly right before or after "the grab". I think the ppl @ yahoo are having some fun here

Because there are more Favre jerseys than any other Packer jerseys.

ZFB.

not a chance d-o double g.  you couldn't catch me dead 1) grabbing Ruvell Martin's johnson or 2) wearing a packers jersey.

Pardner

That guy's name is Steve Bartman...he sits in the front row at sporting events and tries to grab a few foul balls that come his way.  He is a serial offender.  He is the modern day Kissing Bandit.

Make him wear blaze orange like inmates to warn the players.

During the winter, isn't about 2/3 of Lambeau in blaze orange

You are correct. Before the Buccaneers changed to their current unis, they came to Lambeau during the winter. The TV color commentator (I can't remember who it was) was baffled at the number of Buccaneers fans in the stands, but about 2/3 of the Packer fans in the stands were wearing blaze orange hunting gear because it's likely the warmest clothing most Wisconsinites (at least those who hunt) own.

Sounds like the local sports media is having some fun with this whole situation...

Packers notes: Quite a grab

QuoteBy JASON WILDE

GREEN BAY — Ruvell Martin's two touchdown grabs in Sunday's victory over the Minnesota Vikings got him plenty of attention, but it's a grab of another kind that has the Green Bay Packers wide receiver all over the Internet.

After Martin's second touchdown catch, he did the requisite Lambeau Leap into the north end zone stands, where he was greeted by a host of excited front-row fans, including one who engaged in some, ahem, illegal touching.

Several photos circulating on the Internet show the fan with a handful of Martin's uniform pants, but from certain angles, it appears the fan has something else.

"It looks worse than what it was," Martin said with a laugh Thursday. "There's one angle where it really looks like he's got ahold of me, but if you go to the other angle, you can clearly see that he's got my pant leg.

"My brother text-messaged me a picture of it, and he was like, 'There's a crotch-grabber in the stands!' when I saw that picture that he sent me, from the side angle, it looks like he's got me good."

Although the photo was on the front page of Yahoo! Sports' fantasy section Thursday — although it was carefully cropped — and the NFL Network's Rich Eisen called it "the Lambeau Creep" while showing the highlights after the game, many of Martin's teammates were unaware of the incident.

"Can you e-mail that to me?" backup quarterback Aaron Rodgers said when told of the photo.

"I haven't seen it yet, (but) I'm sure it'll be up in a team meeting soon," center Scott Wells said.

All in all, for a guy who looks like he was violated, Martin was a good sport.

"It's kind of weird. Why even do that?" said Martin, who has caught 10 passes for 159 yards this season. "One of the people who work in our kitchen told me that the crotch-grabber has been identified on some radio station. Somebody called into the radio station, saw the picture and was like, 'Hey, I know that guy. That's my buddy.' And he ratted him out. He's definitely brought me a little more attention."
