I have followed Marquette since I was a youngster in 1965 and don't remember feeling like this about a recruit since maybe Maurice Lucas or Earl Tatum. This one is something special.

I loved Al and our 1970s teams, but at the risk of being a jerk, it's time to move on. I had hoped the Hillbilly would help us move on. He got us close but not quite. If Wojo is who we think he is, he'll be retired up there with ole 77!

Hard to imagine that any coach could get off to a start like this... first recruiting class in his first head coaching job a Top 5 class in the nation?!?  There's no way he can top that.  He's definitely peaked.  Look for Wojo to be at Northwestern in 2015-16 because, after all, he's a man of character.

Yes.  I hope our fans let the kid enjoy the experience and don't go overkill on it.  Dead serious.  There will be some that will expect him to walk on water, which is unfortunate.  There will be some that will carve statue figurines and put them next to their bed.  Whatever.  Cool to be excited, I'm certainly happy he is at MU.  I hope that fans will let him enjoy the experience, one can already tell by this thread and others that the expectations are not always linked to reality....that's my concern, especially when talking about 18 year old kids.  Some people expect too much....it's fandom, I get it.  To each their own.

It's one of the reasons I didn't put his name in my username...I wanted to treat him no differently than any other recruit.  TEAM is the name of the game, no I in team.  An exceptional talent, no doubt.  Hope he enjoys MU, I trust he will.
