Agreed, Wojo was a gritty defensive, pass first floor general.  However, the coaches have Diener and Nelson, two of the greatest 3 point shooters in the history of their respective schools.  The current team has no one of that stature...yet.
Maybe they could add a defensive element to the 3 point contest so the new coaches can actually show what closing out on a 3 point shooter looks like...ooohh, did I say that out loud?

Some Brett Nelson highlights in case anybody is interested. He has a super quick release. Also featuring a young, Keith Bogan, Tayshaun Prince and David Lee.

Humm, Florida loses to Kentucky when Florida's last shot by Nelson misses from inside the arc.  Nelson with five threes, but only one in the second half.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I forgot that was the same year as the karate. A year later, I found one of those robes at Value Village. (I know what you're thinking. How could a player ditch a treasure like that?) Grabbed a Diet Pepsi, got my hair to its Dwight Schrute-est, had a friend cover me in bronzer, and I was good to go for Halloween. Spent all night clapping at people.

I forgot that was the same year as the karate.

That whole thing just reminds me of a conversation with five year old...

Mom:  "What do you want to be for Halloween, Tommy?"
Tommy:  "I wanna be a karate man!!"
Mom:  "Okay."
Tommy:  "No wait...I wanna be a motorcycle man!!"
Mom:  "Okay."
Tommy:  "I wanna be a super karate motorcycle man!!!!"

A year later, I found one of those robes at Value Village. (I know what you're thinking. How could a player ditch a treasure like that?)

Didn't some Ohio State players get in trouble for something like that?

Wojo? Really glad he's here, but as a player and a shooter he isn't in the same league as Diener. Travis played professionally for, what, 8 or 9 years? Wojo averaged like 5 points a game at Duke.

Wojo didn't score a lot, but he could shoot the 3.  His career % at Duke was .364.  To put that in perspective, NOBODY on the '12-'13 team hit that percentage, and only Jake and Deonte exceeded that last season (Deonte probably because he only took 8 shots).

I agree that Diener is better, but Wojo was no slouch....

Somebody please post this on an Indiana board.

I wish, but my blind loyalty probably would have prevented that. This was the fall immediately following his flee.
