As I said in another thread, Noskowiak is well worth it. He has everything you would want in a point guard besides elite athleticism. He can shoot and has great court vision. He will be able to score at the next level, something we haven't seen from the PG spot the last few years. I think Bo realized early on that Noskowiak preferred Marquette so he didn't want to waste his time.

Im honestly not excited about this. We need bigs!

Of course, because as 2013-2014 proved, you don't need a point guard, if you have enough bigs.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

He's two years out as of now. Super excited about this news!

Welcome (back), Nick!

Actually, it will be just a little more than a year, as I suspect that he will be on campus in the summer of 2015 to get started.

An idle thought.   Since NN has committed, if he is academically able to do it, could he come to MU's campus this summer, take a class or two, work out on campus, and still be eligible in the fall for high school?

There has been the usual Badger blather about high school issues and whether or not he is really any good.   Or if they want to spend one of their rare scholarships on him, as they don't have that many going forward.

I found something in one comment that I think says a lot about why Nick would have a difficult time in Bo's system.

"I do think Noskowiak fits MSU in that he always wants to play fast."

Great re-get by Wojo.  Between Duane's recruiting and getting NN's recommit, hopefully the dominoes start falling MU's way.

Welcome back to the Warrior clan Nick!!!!
Personally, I think Duane Wilson was a key factor in getting Nick back to MU, from what i noticed at the tourney a couple weeks ago. Duane was giving Nick lots of encouragement during Elites game. Great job DW!!!

I think it's hilarious that he said "done deal." Well played.

For that alone I want this kid. Welcome Nick!

I really do not know, but my take is that Nick never had any interest in UW, so Bo therefore would not waste his time trying to recruit him. This is a huge get for Wojo and an early commitment is a seed to a big recruting class. However, I would be very surprised if the class included Stone.

Don't get the top 100 hype.

To be honest, there have been other places where I have seen this besides Badger boards.  He's very smart and can shoot, but there is some concern about whether or not he can defend at the high D1 level.

But I am very glad that he recommitted.

Awesome news. The use of the DONE DEAL was fantastically done. (It also probably proves that recruits do read MUscoop)

I think this could be the first domino in a chain of several cheeseheads committing in 2015. Bring me Stone, Ellenson, and Heldt!

Really hope so. Also looks like he is really recruiting Matt Ryan on his first day back on the MU beat.  Love how the kids are recruiting for Wojo as well. Have to think that this helps on the Ellenson front a bit with his PG joining the ranks.

Great work by Wojo (and Duane) to bring him back into the fold.  I think we are set at PG for the next few years at least.  But we definitely need to add a quality big man in the 2015 class.

Someone needs to update the scholarship table:

Right now I see that we have 11 scholarships used for 2014-15.
And after Nick's recommit, 8 used for 2015-16 assuming no one else is added for 2014-15.

Wojo really has a lot of options here.

I know its a looong way down the road but does anyone think after Duane graduates/finishes his pro career he could come back to MU to be a stud recruiter?

Seriously. I think this is why we are seeing such a 2015 push by Wojo right now. Outside of the Houston two, there isn't a ton of quality frontcourt players to pick up this late in the game. A big push for Stone, Ellenson, Ryan, et al. is where the difference making will happen.  Lotta open schollies. Keep up the good work, Wojo.

Have seen him play and do not think he will have a problem defending.  He is more than athletic enough.  Defense often comes down to just wanting to do it.

Given everything I've read about Duane's recruiting efforts with numerous players, if he doesn't go on to have a pro career he'd be a great assistant coach down the line!

OK, OK, let's let the kid be a big-time player for us first!!!

That thought has occurred to me too.  I have a feeling we're going to love this kid...and for a lot more than his skills and athletic ability.  Seems like he has the potential to be a real leader on and off the court.

And 95% of you didn't care that he de-committed ..stop fronting

When he de-committed he didn't reject Marquette, I believe he even said MU was still his top choice and that he wanted to see what his options were since he didn't know Wojo. What's wrong with that? And as far as not liking this because he's not a big, if this past season taught us anything it's that you can't have enough guards.

Definitely agree...and also think Deonte Burton will be a great rep from Marquette.  As I recall when Buzz left, Burton and Duane were the first two kids to re-affirm their commitment to Marquette...as a school/university...even before new coach was hired.  Milwaukee kids who want to do great things in Milwaukee and be example for others in the city.

Can't wait for next season to kick off....think it will be a really good season...Mayo and Burton will be stars...and our PG position will be vastly upgraded...those few things alone will help offset the loss of Jamil and Davante.

The three I have been impressed with are Duane, Dawson and Burton. In the interviews post Wojo it was nice to hear them talk about how they committed to Marquette, not a coach. It's hard not to really like the young guys on this roster. Sounds like Nick is going to be another one of those guys that we will really enjoy when he gets here.
