Who was your favorite role player and why?

What did you like about their personality?

Did they have a signature game where they dominated?

I always liked Zach McCall, or as Steve "the Homer" True called him, "Turbo".  He would always come flying up the court like a bat out of hell.  The serious intensity he brought always cracked me up and got me on the bandwagon.

Didn't Zach get booted by the NCAA during testing one year...not sure if I have the right guy. Then we fast forward to the next year's NCAA tournament and we don't have the footspeed to stop God Shamgod from getting into the lane anywhere on the team and he drives without any resistance and sets up Austin Kroshere for 40 points...Not sure if this is right, but it would have been nice to have him on the team to guard God.

Zach was smoking too much puff puff at the time, so yes, I believe you are right, he was suspended for the tournament.

Another favorite of mine.....  The Grimm Reaper

Really? The king of the moving screen?

I would wager that if anyone kept a stat for moving screen fouls per minute played, Chris Grimm would be the all-time leader in NCAA history.

And then factor in all those he got away with.

Sam Worthen ... when bald was unique!

I was a freshman and sophomore during Sam's two years at MU and loved watching him play.

He was not a role player, though. He quite arguably was the best player on both of those teams, and he ended up getting drafted and playing in the NBA.

Great team player who was a senior when Cordell Henry and the gang showed up.

That guy made passes that are still head shaking to this day. If he and O Lee would have played straight imagine how good MU could have been.
