The Golden Eagles have two other signed freshmen, Satchel Pierce and Marial Shayok. They would have to ask permission to be released from their scholarships if they don't want to play for Wojciechowski.

There are indications that Pierce, a seven-foot center considered to be a project, might want out. But the Golden Eagles already have that position covered with Luke Fischer, who transfered from Indiana and will be eligible to play in December.

MU needs depth at that spot.    I suspect that Satchel is more committed to Buzz than to MU.    I hope I am wrong.

Daugherty was an outstanding player - All American at least once.

He also entered UNC at 16 years old. Light years ahead of Satchel.

MU needs depth at that spot.    I suspect that Satchel is more committed to Buzz than to MU.    I hope I am wrong. 

If I recall his recruiting visits correctly, Pierce is most committed to whoever he has spoken to most recently.

He might be. Not every conversation is covered by a media outlet. There's no way Wojo is twiddling his thumbs with a highly regarded recruit.

Half and that would suffice.  Daugherty was first team all american and the #1 overall pick in the 1986 NBA draft.  

He does not look and play anything like Daugherty.

I'm pretty sure any newly hired coach would be the best source of information for a recruit or someone who has already signed an NLI.  Hunt barely knows how to get to the Marquette campus.  His comments on Pierce are something he is clearly pulling out of his #$! to fill column space.  My bet is Wojo is not happy with the misrepresentation but I doubt if Hunt cares.  It's sad game to play out  time before retirement.

question-would fischer be more effective at either pf or shooting forward?  haven't seen him play much, but freeing him up and dragging a bigger defender outside? outside shot?  pushing for satchel to come in to play the middle?  then go after or continue to persuade diamond to come on over and play with his buddy duane.  that's assuming duane stays-not trying to start anything-thanks
