That's the bigger question.

Haha.....that's good!   I think it would be Wisconsin!

jficke13

such a turn of events...

In this game it's a surprise that Kentucky played a white person, and two of UW's three black guys have names off the boat from England (Nigel) and Italy (Vito).

This world never ceases to amaze.

That's the bigger question.

Every year when Kentucky gets those great classes, I always wonder if those kids are clueless about Kentucky's history.

My favorite tidbit, Kentucky was the last state to ratify the 13th amendment ending slavery.  In 1973!  Glad to know that they got on board with slavery being a bad idea 110 years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Teabagger in the Senate race was just advocating legalizing cockfighting this week.

It's Kentucky - what do you expect?

Lexington is a weird place. First time there, I didn't know anything about the town and had a hotel room on the east side of town. Went out looking for a restaurant and it was like I was in a town from Deliverance. But if you're on the north or west side or downtown, it's a beautiful city.

Nonetheless, I"d trade Kentucky for Ukraine's independence again in a heart beat.

Don't even know what that means - but I'd trade Kentucky for a nice glass of beer.

I am aware of current events. Just not aware of what hillbillies in Kentucky have to do with the Ukraine.

It's the fact that I'd trade the state of Kentucky for Ukraine, because Kentucky offers nothing to the union except 2 basketball teams who's coaches use more oil in their hair than 3 Geo Prizm Hatchbacks.

I'd much rather be in the south side of Chicago, south central L.A. or Detroit.  I think they are all run by teabaggers....

I think maybe we agree on something - both sides are pretty equal when it comes to their lowlife-ed-ness.

The big difference is Repubs just say what they think (so there's more to make fun of) while Dems are too big of cowards to speak out on what they stand for :-\

Actually, when it comes to what the forum is about - MU basketball - we are pretty much in agreement for the most part.

Nah, I just always love hearing how tolerant lefties are and the poutrage about "Labeling" people, yet they come out with labels like Rednecks, Teabaggers, etc.  It's funny, if it wasn't so sad and hypocritical.

I'm a little different. I have no problem poking fun at myself - so I figure I can treat everyone that way  :P

I think it's great to label and generalize about everyone. That way, we can make sure we cover 100% of every group with one word or phrase! How easy and convenient.

Sorry for the rant, but you know us Independent Baby Boomers who were born in New England, spent 3 decades in the Midwest and now live in North Carolina. We're all the same -- a bunch of message-board ranters!

I have always wondered how much money they gave Tom Payne to become the first black on Rupp's team and how Rupp was with him.  The greatest game I saw in person was the MU victory over Kentucky who had Issel, Casey and Pratt.  All white, against MU who was mostly black,  Memmingers finest game.  The game in Madison had unique fans waving confederate flag, times
have changed.
