You laugh.Let's look at the coaches left in the tourney. Both Millers,Ollie,Donovan and Bennett.3 are in the elite 8 already and the other two may follow tonight. What do they have in common. All point and lead guards.Coincidence?I think not.Plus at least 3 and maybe 4 are from coaching families.Booby Hurley may have played for the best coach in all of basketball in his father at St.Anthony's.I will take Bobby Hurley as my next coach.

Heard Hurley on Cowherd today and thought the same thing. We really need to hire a coach so I can get back to living a normal life.

It will never be a Hurley after the Tyshawn Taylor fiasco.

That is a good reason not to hire him.Get over it already. With this thinking no wonder we are in the mess we are in.

Here's two more reasons, then: He coaches at effing Buffalo, and he has ONE year experience. But you are right, it is my thinking that has put MU in this mess. I accept full responsibility.

Crean had worked under Izzo for several seasons as his chief recruiter, so he's not even part of the equation. Deane and Dukiet were mistakes for the same reason Hurley would be a mistake: small-town Eastern school success doesn't mean squat. You want to hire a coach who worked one season at Buffalo and sell him as an impact hire, go right ahead. I'm sure the alumni would welcome Hurley with open arms.

So after being burned by Dukiet and Deane, you want to go back and hire a guy from basically a Division II program and hand him the reins? Wright had seven years experience when Nova hired him.  Valvano was an outlaw who bought every player in sight, Digger was an absolute abomination as a game coach. You are the one looking worse by even suggesting Hurley. We go from Shaka Smart and Ben Howland and tell alumni that our impact hire is effing Bobby Hurley? We would be playing before 12,000 empty seats next season.
