I have a strong feeling Wisconsin wins a close game.  If the game was played in Pasadena I would take Arizona.   ;)

It's setup for them, the easiest bracket, played in Milwaukee.  Yeah, it will be a home game for Arizona, but nothing like what they face in the Big Ten on the road.  Tonight, SDSU fans had the bigger crowd.  Many of the locals going hate Arizona because they are USC and UCLA fans.  It will be an Arizona crowd, but not to the extent Wisconsin had in Milwaukee or what a typical Big Ten road game is like.

Just seems like their year.

We shall see. My son was at the game and said Zona fans were buying the Baylor fans tickets in droves after they lost. Big Zona crowd and big Zona win. Book it.

This is crazy. Are you really that big of a UW hater that you have to find a way to disparage a Bucky win before it even happens?

The Badgers are a very good team this year. They are extremely skilled, athletic enough to compete with most teams, and very well coached. They played themselves into a position to get "home games" in the tourney and they have earned every win so far. Saying they matched up very well against Baylor is hindsight at its finest. Many thought Baylor would give them a tough game, but UW executed almost flawlessly against their zone. Their coaches and players deserve at least some credit for that win.

UW is in the elite 8 because they are a really good team. Deal with it. How would we have responded if Badger fans tried to rationalize our elite 8 run last year as merely luck? One could easily make that argument, btw.

UW could definitely beat AZ this weekend and if they do, it won't be because of luck.

Arrrrrrrgh..... 'tis a sensitive lad.  Perhaps ye need a few months on the ocean to make ye a man.  Put down ye peppermint martini and have some whiskey.

Who do they lose? Gasser and Brust? Not huge losses, IMO.

Gasser is only a junior.  Dekker making a jump to the NBA would be the biggest loss, but they still have an extremely talented and deep roster.

Kaminsky is better than dekker right now.  And will continue to get better IMO.

Dekker would be a first round pick anywhere else. He's got the shackles on in that system, and it will kill his draft stock.

Sam is better now than Hayward was when he left Butler. What Bo is doing to that kid is criminal.

Zona wins by 8 and Bo retires, i know its wishful thinking but we are due for a break

And Wisconsin hires Shaka to replace Bo.

Teaching him how to play the game is criminal? Letting him know playing ball AAU style won't get him anywhere is criminal.

The roadside of the NBA is littered with guys with lots of talent who don't know how to play the game.

They will be better next year.

Koenig (sp?) might be better than Jackson, Nigel Hayes can be a beast, Kaminsky is a beast, and Dekker has All-American potential.

They lose Brust, period.  They could very well be picked to win the B1G next year and will start the season ranked very high.

Wouldn't be surprised to see UW top 5 in the preseason poll.

I seem to remember another team in Wisconsin that was supposed to be real go this season....

I don't know what you guys are talking about Dekker is a first round pick.  Go check out every single mock draft.

They lose guys... but it is what we have always said about Bo Ryan... Woe to us if he ever gets some good recruits.

He did, and look what happened.

Totally agree with this. He hasn't really had a great year. I often thought to myself that he needs to play better, more to his ability level, but he has looked real good recently - he definitely has an NBA game. Will be a better pro than college player.

If I we advising him, I'd tell him to declare and go get that money. I don't care of he'd bea high first rounder or not, he has a bright NBA future, and another year in college isn't likely to change that.

BUT BO HAS TO SHOW HIM THE RIGHT WAY TO PLAY!

You're right... some guys are better suited for the pro game. Look at Buycks, for instance. Always thought he'd be better in a more open game. Dekker is the same way. Very skilled, and a pretty good athlete. Could be great in a more open system where he can get out in transition more.

I struggle to see how Dekker has made any big strides in his game since arriving at UW.

I'd take that coach who doesn't know how to handle Dekker, right now.

It will be a home game for Zona. They have thousands of alums in So Cal and the Tucson faithfull will make the drive. Look how San Diego was last Saturday, all Zona fans.

U of A is going to the Final Four.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. If you haven't noticed, Wisconsin travels extremely well. There were 10 Wisconsin fans to every Baylor fan last night.
