Wisconsin lucks out by playing the #1 seed that has the least depth.  Arizona might be out of gas come the 2nd half as they only play 6 guys.  The Vadgers have had a lucky run playing 2 home games, and a Baylor team that they matched up very well against.  Now they get a fatigued #1 seed.  My guess is AZ is going to be -1 or -2 for the spread.  I do not want to deal with a Vadger win, especially when we don't have a coach.

Hey Deane!  Wanna deal me a shoe of blackjack? Your break is just about over

T.V. Diener 34

Won't happen... Becky will not win and I see the spread coming out at around Az -3 or so

I never take my seatbelt off while driving .....

bobnoxious

That could explain your ridiculously low car insurance rates

Zona wins by 8 and Bo retires, i know its wishful thinking but we are due for a break

AZ -1.5 according to Parrish.

Great things come to those who wait.  Or as the degenerate gambler  who's lost 10 bets in a row  would say........." we're due.  "

Close to a home game for AZ, which could make the difference.

These are kids - they play for hours on end on the playground. And are you saying every team that had 2 "home games" is lucky.

They are where they're at because of talent and coaching. As I said in another thread, if Decker stays, they will be a top 3 pre-season team.

There is not one position that we were better than UW - from coach on down. Our job is to get better.

It will be a home game for Zona. They have thousands of alums in So Cal and the Tucson faithfull will make the drive. Look how San Diego was last Saturday, all Zona fans.

U of A is going to the Final Four.

My point is that the Vadgers got lucky based on the seedings and matchups in the tournament.  Not every 2 seed got 2 home games.  In fact, you could argue that no team received the home court advantage that the Vadgers did.  90% of the sold out crowd were Bucky fans.  People and reporters at the game against Oregon said they had never heard the Bradley Center that loud.  It is luck to be able to play in a venue so close to home with that much of a crowd advantage.  I guarantee it won't happen again.

I have a strong feeling Wisconsin wins a close game.  If the game was played in Pasadena I would take Arizona.   ;)

It's setup for them, the easiest bracket, played in Milwaukee.  Yeah, it will be a home game for Arizona, but nothing like what they face in the Big Ten on the road.  Tonight, SDSU fans had the bigger crowd.  Many of the locals going hate Arizona because they are USC and UCLA fans.  It will be an Arizona crowd, but not to the extent Wisconsin had in Milwaukee or what a typical Big Ten road game is like.

Just seems like their year.

Ugh. Feel the same way. Hope I'm wrong.

Arizona quickly moved to -3.

As if we didn't luck out with so many close wins down the stretch last year to get to the Elite Eight (only to get embarrassed by Syracuse).  Seriously, what is with this board's obsession to tear down Wisky any chance you get?  I despise in-state rivalries, because they turn neighbors and otherwise good friends into bitter people.

This is crazy. Are you really that big of a UW hater that you have to find a way to disparage a Bucky win before it even happens?

The Badgers are a very good team this year. They are extremely skilled, athletic enough to compete with most teams, and very well coached. They played themselves into a position to get "home games" in the tourney and they have earned every win so far. Saying they matched up very well against Baylor is hindsight at its finest. Many thought Baylor would give them a tough game, but UW executed almost flawlessly against their zone. Their coaches and players deserve at least some credit for that win.

UW is in the elite 8 because they are a really good team. Deal with it. How would we have responded if Badger fans tried to rationalize our elite 8 run last year as merely luck? One could easily make that argument, btw.

UW could definitely beat AZ this weekend and if they do, it won't be because of luck.

Kudos to them for being able to drum up so many rabid fans for the games.  They have been one of the more impressive teams this year, so they earned it.  If they didn't earn it through the course of the season, that would be one thing.

I tear down their fans, especially the UW-other than madison crew.  I try not to tear down their team because there isn't much to tear down, quite frankly.   Their fans are mostly dinks, they are still in the top 10 all times in major NCAA infractions, I find them to be some of the most hypocritical people I have ever met....but they have a good basketball team and an angry coach.

They go to the Final Four

They will be better next year.

Koenig (sp?) might be better than Jackson, Nigel Hayes can be a beast, Kaminsky is a beast, and Dekker has All-American potential.

Who do they lose? Gasser and Brust? Not huge losses, IMO.
