My feeling as well.  If the new MU prez is flying to Richmond today, hopefully it's with a "take it NOW or leave it" offer...and Cords is sitting in LA waiting to walk over and sign Howland.

If it is true that someone is going to Dixie from Milwaukee today, I highly doubt it is for a negotiating session.  Shaka would not say "come on down" if he was planning to turn it down. Unless, of course, he is a first class dick.

We just got a new prez. According to this thread, he is meeting with the prez. I imagine it isn't a done deal, but this is a reassurance meeting to assuage any concerns SS had about the administration. Whether that goes our way or not, who knows. But if true, it's clear that SS has interest if meeting with some of our admin.

This is giving me the most doubt about Shaka to MU.

I don't necessarily think that Shaka is coming to Marquette.

But, just for argument's sake, I actually think that if hypothetically a coach was bailing for another university, letting their top assistant find their own new gig makes perfect sense. Easy for everyone to make a "clean break."

He runs a recruiting site out of Chicago and has made his name as an insider to Chicago recruiting.  He's definitely worth paying attention to, but he's been wrong before on this type of stuff.

Excellent source for Illinois hoops and recruiting.   I personally think his source is Ganzer and/or a Chicago recruit/family member at MU.

IWB and Roy are recruiting experts so I assume their info is coming from relationships built with players and families who have been or currently recruited to MU.  Another possibility is Jerry W.  Long time Chicago guy and still roaming the halls of the Al.  Again, a guess but I do have a basis for the guess.  

National press most likely have different sources.  Coaches, AD's, SIDS, etc. Not sure if someone like goodman wold be connected w a recruit or family.  Different sources I assume.
