Krefeld & Goose - any comments on the supposed Wednesday timeframe?
"Half a billion we used to do about every two months...or as my old boss would say, 'you're on the hook for $8 million a day come hell or high water-.    Never missed in 6 years." - Chico apropos of nothing

I doubt they announce anything today, this is the new president's day and there is a ceremony and dinner for him tonight.

GooooMarquette

If the new president wants to make the most of his day, his best option would be to start off his introduction with "And in my first move at Marquette president, I hereby announce that Ben Howland/Shaka Smart has been hired as our new men's basketball coach."

Be bold.

Jam Chowder

My prediction is that the only thing we will hear tonight is the collective mouth-breathing of scoop-readers everywhere who haven't slept, showered, or changed clothes since Friday and who are doggedly hunched over in front of their computers.

Signing them both would be the tits.

The new President of MU being announced today will be it - MU will not steal his thunder or diminish this important announcement.   Everyone can go out and drink and check in tomorrow!

I like this. Let's show due respect. This is, after all, the steward of our university for the foreseeable future.

How would this work? Would it be co-head coach? Would they trade off games? Would the players know who to look to at crunch time? The ego clashes could get out of control. Yeah it sounds great on paper, but in practice it could be a nightmare! I'm totally fine if it happens though, just from a program perception point of view.

cords would play the coach that is best in practice, and bench the other.

So was there a 5pm press conference today? Or was that originally going to be to announce the new president?
