What's the deal with this guy? He makes his bold proclamation and now he's nowhere to be found and completely quiet. He needs to either stand by his story or retract what he said after that Finkelstein tweet. I'm guessing he's trying to figure out where his story went south and is thinking about how he can spin it so he doesn't look like an a$$...think it's too late, when it doesn't happen, he will never get his credibility back after this fiasco.

Maybe he was supposed to be quiet about this in the first place?  I don't know, but seems odd that we get a tweet about something that is obviously supposed to be secret.

But with this whole thing, I've been a reluctant to believe, because how many times do insiders say a recruit is coming, etc, and then we don't get the recruit.  It is always then said that "it was true" at that time but.....

I'm sure he had  a source, but "done" is a big word and these things aren't done when the coach is still at his old school (subject to influence) and hasn't told his players (emotion/influence).

Just looking at this objectively.  How often has IWB done something like this?  Even with a recruit?  I can not remember of one instance and I have been following these boards since their inception.

If IWB has it wrong.  Someone gave him bad information.  And based on the logic above that person would also normally be reliable.

Translation,  this stuff is not coming out from IWBs source incorrectly.  Someone is giving his source bad info.  If I had to guess, someone in Shaka's camp is telling IWBs source he is coming.  Now maybe they are just using MU to get more $$.  Who knows...

+1.  Hate to say it but now I feel bad for the guy.  Don't think he was intentionally leading us on.  Just think the facts were deeper and possibly even changed.  Definitely jumped the gun with the tweet, but it's not like he's going move to Indonesia or something now.

+1, but I doubt that to be the case.  Either he was coming and he still is coming, or he was coming and now he's not coming, or he was never coming at all.  Can't believe a tweet and it's reaction decided the outcome of this one.

What is the rush? IWB announced it was a done deal at 7:00pm last night. It is now after 9:30am the following day and national media reports are saying this isn't happening. Maybe IWB shouldn't have rushed to proclaim Shaka as our next head coach and it was a done deal. He clearly wasn't patient.
