I am still curious why Buzz was a "different" coach this year.  He seemed out of it as the season progressed.  He seemed "non-plussed" in a lot of games in the second half.  There seemed to be something going on that distracted him or caused him to lose his coaching acuteness.  The bottom line was that we was poor game coach this year big time.

Just as I never understood the complete hatred for Crean (he lifted the program and stayed 9 years) I never understood the blind faith in the country bumpkin that Buzz portrayed himself to be.  But as they say, FAN is short for fanatic.

Maybe not. It could be that the administration told him to look for something else rather than just firing him. Makes him look good and the university does not have to explain why they fired him. What is confounding is I think Buzz leaving on his own would get a much better position than VT. With all the rumors of all these other coaches interested in MU has me wondering if this has not been in the works for awhile.

I couldn't agree more. All the sanctimonious crap by the blow hards who ran off to the other board. I think a lot of people owe Willie and Ners an apology. People may not have liked the tone, tenor, or cadence of the message but those two had every right to express an opinion. In the end game it turns out they were correct.

I love the maturity of taking one's toys and going home. Let's see how many are man enough to admit they were wrong.

I will admit I was wrong in recent days about their being nothing to the Buzz is leaving rumors.

I do hope that the next coach will be one we can all get behind, but judging from comments I am already seeing here, that likely will not happen.
The last two coaches hired had little or no experience. That suggests to me we could not get a name coach. Now people are saying we should get one. That is fine--but let's not denigrate somebody because he is Brian Wardle or Chew, etc.
