Let's Go Warriors

Warrior As defined by Webster's:
A person who fights in battles and is known for having courage and skill

Norm

At least he can wear the orange outfits he collected at Tennessee again with the blue and orange Tigers.

4everwarriors

Got themselves a winner and packed arena.

Bruce + auburn coeds = whoa.

4never's heading down there now to help show bruce around the campus.

Golden Avalanche

Back to the SEC for a guy who has bent rules everywhere he's lived. Was only place he could accept.

Litehouse

What does this mean for his show cause penalty?  He can't recruit until August?  Can his assistants?

tower912

He can coach.   Auburn and the SEC are a good match for him.

SEC and Bruce Pearl.....he milked it once, he can do it again until caught for the third time.  Is there a 3 strikes and you're out?

Strong personality, good coach, just has trouble with the whole rules thing.

Agreed.  I love Bruce pearl.  Think the guy might be one of the best coaches for this generation of players.      Think Auburn will turn it around in 2 years with some 6'4 to 6'7 switchables.

Dawson Rental

Maybe he'll invite Diamond Stone over to his house for a barbecue.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Pakuni

This may be the most Auburn thing ever.

Great move for Auburn

I disagree. This will not end well for Auburn.

2.2 million a year?

Well, I guess we can gauge how much Buzz is worth on the market.

I like Pearl, and think he will do well.  Good place for him.  Look at some of the stories about the recruitment of Cam Newton and think if Auburn cares about the rules.  They will happily take a national championship for a few years of sanctions.  2.2 mil though?  That's a lot of green for a guy still under a "show cause" order.

Never really paid much attention to Pearl besides the fact that my dad hates him with a passion and that he was the coach for UWM when they got wrecked by U of I in the S16 game I was at. Didnt keep track of his track record at Tennessee.

Yep. Plenty of schools will pay up. A shady dude like Pearl can get a sweet deal shows you how amped up the market is.

4everwarriors

Bruce will pay for himself in sold out games, publicity, and winning.

You mean like Huggy at Kansas State? Auburn has absolutely ZERO to lose. Perfect hire.

No argument there....plus he will be at a school that sometimes has a liberal interpretation of compliance.  Through 2011, Auburn was number 3 on the list of DI schools on probation the most ....Alabama was 4th.
