Hunt: Malek Harris likely to sign with MU

Remember Malek Harris, the 6-foot-7 forward from Chicago Sandburg High who committed to Marquette before he was suspended for disciplinary reasons his for entire senior year?

The Golden Eagles did not sign him last fall while the news of his dismissal from his high school team was still fresh.

But from what I know, mutual interest remains for Marquette and Harris, a top-100 recruit. If neither party changes their mind, he;ll probably sign with the Golden Eagles in the spring or summer.

And so when he finally does break some news, people here still find a way to b*tch about it.
My guess is Hunt "knows" more than 99 percent of the wannabe insiders here, given that he has direct contact with MU officials and the coaching staff.

At Sandburg.  The story (that I got from MUScoop) was that Buzz told him that if he went to prep school to avoid his punishment, MU would no longer be interested in him.

+1  if true, that is fantastic of Buzz to teach Harris a lesson in owning up to mistakes.  It is also great that Buzz is going to honor the offer if Harris holds up his end.  Buzz is a class act.  Hope he stays here a long time.
