I know many here believe the at large is gone for Marquette, but we still have a chance.  Tonight's game is our last chance.  Somehow we need to finish above Providence in the BE standings.  It will be all but impossible if we lose tonight.

This game is a must win.

Providence has looked good in games that Batts can get going. Otherwise it is the Bryce Cotton show. Against our bigs I don't think Batts will get it going and I think Ox will get him in foul trouble.

They have NO bench.

Desrosiers is a good defender not so much going on offense.

Henton and Cotton are very very good.

It will be a good game but I think we win by double digits. I am from RI and my dad is a devout PC fan so we better win.

We just have more talent than Providence....They have no subs at all and Gardner gets bigs in foul trouble. If we get Batts in foul trouble we are going to win by double digits.

I will stand by this until we win by 3 in the last seconds....lol

Marquette was given a chance to create separation from bottom of the league and failed on Saturday. They earned a reprieve with Hall blowing it last night against Butler and GTown continues to flounder as none of their players attends class.

For all that is wrong with this team, MU has no excuse not to finish in fourth and perhaps even third if X gets lost a bit. With two against direct competition in PC and a mostly favorable road schedule the possibility of a 9-2 (with losses to CU and Nova) is there.

Going 12-6 in the third toughest conference in country would normally be good. However, with nothing of accomplishment in 2013 the Warriors will still need a trip to Saturday in the Garden to even be in a discussion. A season of lost opportunity.

We won't make the NCAA unless we go to the finals of the Big East Championship and beat Nova on the road and Creighton at our place. There simply is a very low chance of us making it this year. Xavier had a down year, Pitt had a down year both were the same as us for a 7 year stretch. We have the recruits in place. This is not going to be a trend

I want to see a lot of full court pressure. We may get burned early but it will wear them out. We roll 11 deep (if JJJ is healthy) and they only roll out 6 players (Goldsborough and Bancroft sometimes play but they are no more than warm bodies). No way Cotton can still produce after 40 minutes of full court pressure.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Providence has has an impressive run over their last five games--winning all 5 while beating the likes of Georgetown, Creighton, Xavier, and St. Johns. However, they have had some serious home-cooking, playing 5 of their first 7 games at home--they beat SJU in 2OT in New York and got their doors blown off in Philly by 30 against Nova. Also, they had a questiontable loss at home against Seton Hall early on.

This team is good, but like anyone else, they're not the same on the road as they are at home. No reason why Marquette can't protect home court against a team like this and pick up a quality win--unless of course Wilson plays 30+ minutes (ZING, I kid).
