The team does seem to transition on offense a little smoother with the frosh running point IMHO.

I really liked that half. I think both teams are playing stellar D. When we are clicking, we look really good.

Dawson is doing alright. Dumb mistakes but making some good plays

Let's not lose perspective.... Every Georgetown game is an ugly game....it's the style they play.

I'm either seeing some ugly basketball or some great defense.

Regardless, Marquette is winning, so I'm  :)

Buzz diagnosing his last second play. Has that ever worked?

Yes. Tonight.

I'll tell you this, if D. Wil plays the majority of the second half and we lose by 5 or more, I'm joining the "fire Buzz" crowd. (For a whole WEEK!!!)

That foul at the end of the half was just... bad.  The offensive player created the contact.  This better not be decided by 2 points...

Nice run by Steve.  Four boards, two on each end.  Is he just getting healthy?

Nine players with points.  A good thing, but in the second half you need someone to put a dozen to his name and take the game.

28.6% shooting for GT.

Dawson is doing a nice job moving the ball around. Keep him in the game Buzz

Got to play talent.  Good things tend to happen.

And he requires a defender within 5 feet of him.

What this says to me is that Dawson is capable at the point.  He may not actually be better than Derrick, but he isn't a lot worse.  I would like to see a split in minutes of 25/15 Derrick/Dawson, where if either is playing extremely well you let them get even more minutes.

I'm beginning to think if Dawson had more run he might get more comfortable and the freshman mistakes may diminish.

Fracking refs.  (that last call prior to  the half)

Seems strange seeing a white guy on a Georgetown team.  Was he there last year?

Yeah, Steve Taylor sure does look hurt.  A little gimpy.  Playing with out much confidence.  NOT! NOT! and NOT!

I am very puzzled (and may be a bit pissed) as to why we have not seen more of him.  He looks fine!

That has been my opinion the entire season (post the first 6-7 games). Few others think that way though - It's got to be one or the other.

He has 2 fouls now so he probably will not get in for first 8 minutes 2nd half
Goal is National Championship

I feel good about the second half....we seemed to be getting better movement and flow on offense which should create shots.  If jake and mayo can hit from the outside and jamil gets something, anything, going on offense I think we will be fine.  Get some typical Gardner points in the paint and some support from Taylor and burton and MU wins by 5.

I WANT Dawson to succeed and was thrilled to see him hit that 3.

The blocked layup and TO/foul not so much.

He is definitely getting time to turn it around tonight.

Dawson isn't the second coming, but because his defender can't sag on him, it opens things up for the rest of our team as the passing lanes are more open and it becomes tougher to double our post players.
