Classless move by buzz to put JJJ in at this point.

Must be one of Buzz's life lessons....seriously...must be something going on

Couldn't watch the game because of the whole CBS sports network thing. Was Davante getting a lot more paint touches today? Think that D. Wilson not starting/playing as much would have something to do with that if so.
I'm guessing that DW played about 30 minutes today so I don't think that's the reason.

Oh boy, saw JJJ standup to come in garbage time with one minute to go, then sat down. Guess not injured. Ummmm?????

Burton played two minutes in second half, Taylor was DNP, Dawson was DNP and JJJ was DNP.

Markusquette

Buzz is teaching them a lesson.  Hope things shape-up so we see JJJ a lot next game.

Anyone wanting to compare MU's performance to Georgetown's (vs DePaul)?

Burton stunk today so didn't deserve more than that.  Others (except Dawson) are interesting.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Dang it, that dunk with less than a second left means that Marquette does not cover the 11 point spread! Argh!

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Somethings gotta be going on. A DNP for jjj wow.

DNP for Dawson no surprise #TransferAlert ala Jamal Ferg.

Great game OX!!!

ATL MU Warrior

How do we win a game when the other team shoots 50% (give or take) more FG attempts than we do?  That's crazy.

WellsstreetWanderer

Don't think Burton stunk today but with things this close you do not want to make freshman mistakes on the court ala DePaul

Depaul stunk it up. For sure.

Newsflash guys: freshman minutes always decrease when we hit BEAST play.

It's more of an insult than anything at that point...what a slap in the face. If I'm JJJ I'm gone!

Well, you're not. And we're all grateful for that.

Not sure why we have this need to predict transfers when guys don't play.

Because in this day and age if you are a highly regarded recruit you expect to play or you will go elsewhere.

So should they be played solely to prevent them from possibly transferring?

I think by not playing him that is what you are risking. Is it worth it to give Thomas all those minutes and him none? Thomas is a senior who is lucky he has a scholarship...so we risk alienating someone who is part of our bright future to appease Thomas who is a marginal player that is gone after this year? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. But I also think we wouldn't be sacrificing anything by playing JJJ over JT and potentially gain more athleticism and explosiveness.

I'm not at a coach but yes you need to play them so a top 50 guy does not transfer.

LOL...

JT has outplayed JJJ against quality competition.  Look up the differences.  Buzz isn't going to play JJJ (or anybody) because they might transfer, over a senior who has no other options, even though the senior is  playing better.

JJJ clearly has more potential, and will be WAY better three years from now than JT is now, but JT's experience makes him better.

Perhaps Buzz doesn't care. Buzz tells these guys all the same thing. And most likely tells them that when recruiting them. If they can't hack his system, or if they don't have mindset, patience and drive to stick it out, then I'm sure Buzz is okay with them leaving.

Here's the problem, what if the guy isn't very good?

Your right JJJ will be really good. Just not for Marquette they way his PT is.  15 years ago people had patience and would not mind sitting behind senior, but things change Mox. Nowadays they expect to play from day - especially guy who have been told how great they are since 7th grade.
