The link below will take you to our look at the keys for the game as well as look at how our front-court has performed relative to last year.

farmer's markets often have cheese... just sayin'  ;)

Very valid point...and this fat kid loves cheese.

Misix sponsors a "stat of the game" at the BC, and I have to say they are some of the stupidest and most meaningless statistics I have ever seen.

I don't recall any of the specific ones, but they are along the lines of "Last season, when Marquette shot better than 32.6% from 3-point range, their winning percentage is 54.8%.
Have some patience, FFS.

We appreciate you paying attention and apologize for the uselessness of the statistics. Are there any statistics you would fine more useful? We would be happy to accommodate if possible.

Andy, good stuff - thank you. The fact that is most striking is the production by J. Wilson. For an ball player with so much natural talent, one would have expected a real step-up in this his senior year.

Regarding D. Wilson, one needs not have a statistical profile to understand he is, as a point guard, a drag on the team. That is, he is holding the team back.

Every year Coach Williams has adjusted his scheme and his rotation to get the best out of both. Remember when he went to the pee-wee guards in year two? Or, made Dwight  Buycks into a point guard?

For a coach who has a reputation of making adjustments, regardless of the talent, Coach Williams seems to be stuck in first gear ploughing straight ahead this year, showing no signs of shifting into second, or changing lanes.

I would make them simpler.  For example, "Last season, when Marquette was ahead at halftime, they won the game 82% of the time."

But that is just me.

Everyone of these posts has some decent info and more importantly something funny!  Fat kids don't like statistics... Deal with it
