This week in the Quon (Concordia University) is the WBBY Shootout... Thursday's Games (December 26)

2015 F Henry Ellenson of Rice Lake plays at 6pm Friday and 3pm Saturday. Both games are worth your time if you have some availability.

The 6pm game puts Henry up against Dominican and 2015 C Diamond Stone. Those two are very familiar with each other from USA Basketball... they've played with and against each other plenty in different settings.

Saturday's game for Rice Lake puts them up against Neenah and Matt Heldt. Matt played for WI Playground Warriors 16's with MU-commit Nick Noskowiak (not playing in this tourney). 6'10" trad. center... where he winds up depends on the next year. Plenty of MM love and some HM interest. He may earn some good HM options... I actually kind of like him and plan to take in several of his games this spring/summer.

Also on that Playground Warriors 16 team was 2015 Brevin Pretzl of De Pere (pronounced like a french dude saying 'Diaper' & not to be confused with WEST De Pere)... he's fun to watch because his range is ridiculous and can even flash some athleticism... could be a POTENT scorer at the MM level.

West De Pere has 6'8" 2015 Cody Schwartz. Not sold on him, but some are. My reservations are mostly due to ignorance, though, and he's a kid I just need to see more of. 6'8" trad. Strong build, good looking kid (no hibbert)... at this point more of a perimeter guy but if he can up his repertoire to be a nice 3/4 blend he could turn out aiiight. From an MU perspective, one to monitor.

Cody's teammate - 6'6" 2014 Chandler Diekvoss - is a Richmond commit. Really like his game. And his last name.

Lamonte Bearden of powerhouse Germantown... going to Buffalo... think he potentially could continue developing and be a HM guy.. but at a Buffalo, should do well. Pass, dribble, shoot.. he can get it all working in a game with decent pace. Fun to watch.
