It would be boring if everyone was the same and had the same opinion. There are probably 5 posters that I make a point to read their posts for better or worse. 4ever, Keefe, sultan, chicos and zfb.

+1. I agree with them sometimes - sometimes not and they are never shy about pushing their view, but have never been insulting to me.

I already know what I think, and like you I want to hear some other points of view.

I still remember my ID... even though I was the "primary" (read: only) user in my household, I used an 'E' account as my main (mostly because I had to setup the 'A' account under my mom's name since I was under 18 at the time).

One day - strictly because I was bored - I decided to advertise the recently-formed (but not by me) "Cat Haters Club" on the "Cat Lovers Club" bulletin board, which promptly flooded the inbox on the 'A' account with messages from crazy-cat-ladies and middle-aged housewives (thinking they were talking to my parents) ranting about "do you know what your child is doing," "your son should be reported to the police," and the like (even though I never actually posted on the hater's board).  I think at most one lady messaged a dozen times just in one day... as I recall, you got 30 messages a month and then each message was $0.25 per beyond that.  Suffice to say, I earned Prodigy a few bucks back in the day.

That is pretty funny.

I remember I was in my first job out of college in Cleveland, OH and So. Cal had a major earthquake.  Phones were busy for days, couldn't get through.  We used Prodigy to track down to make sure my family was ok.  So Cal Prodigy users were willing to take that on by driving over to people's houses, make sure people were ok.  It was pretty cool....sort of like an electronic pigeon system during tough times.
