I thought about buying one of those, but was turned off by the OS.  I know Google is top-notch when it comes to tech, but have you had any problems installing software because of the OS?

As I've said from time to time here over the years, SDSU has the most talent of any campus I have ever seen in my life and it isn't really close.  I have my theories, but so I don't upset the womenfolk they shall remain inside my tiny brain.

haven't installed anything but my google info-do everything from the cloud. love it. is pretty fast, portable and cheap.  use it as my carry around. if i need something more tech savy, i use my desk top or ask my son.  to be honest, i'm kinda computer stupid, but know just enough to keep up with the news, follow the scoop, some bill paying and  checking out "artistic expressionism"  ,

I've got a chromebook too. It is what it is. You can't install any microsoft office programs or anything, so you have to use google documents. I actually have come to prefer google docs because it saves to a cloud automatically, but without wifi you can't do much with the chromebook.
