Lots of potential fun matchups.  Early look against Creighton would be fun.  As would a rematch with Miami.  I want a second dose of Arizona State...

Wow, there are three teams that I think can give us a tough game and they're all in the other bracket.  It will be very disappointing to miss the championship game.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Agreed, I think you guys have a pretty easy road to the championship. We will have our work cut out for us. A litte scary.

Aren't you an MU fan?  Or only a secondary MU fan (2nd to Creighton)?

GU would be a better test than Miami so Im hoping for that match-up. Dont really want to see Creighton because we will play them soon enough. ASU re-match is 'meh' to me. Very average tourney.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

This tournament is between us, Creighton, George Washington, and ASU. We cannot sleep on George Washington, they are a solid mid major

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

GGGG

GW went 13-17 last year and hasn't beaten any one of significance this year.  If Miami loses to them, it says a lot more about Miami than it does GW.

GW is a different team this year.  Mo Creek is a graduate transfer from Indiana.  You may remember that he averaged 17 points per game as a freshman, and then had huge injury problems.  He had a year of eligibility left, but Indiana "recruited over" him (don't blame TC for that, given the injuries), and he wasn't going to receive a scholarshop for a 5th year.  But, he had graduated in 4, so he was able to move to GW (he is from the DC burbs) as a grad student.

Huge get for GW, and improves that team from last year in a meaningful way (not predicted to finish in the top half of the A-10, but I think they will surprise people).

Plus, they have John Kopriva Jr.!!

Certainly not a stacked field, but it is still one of the better tournaments this year.  Even the Maui field is very meh.  I am hoping for an MU - Creighton or ASU final.  I honestly think I would rather play ASU again and take em down.  We'll see Creighton plenty yet this year.

George Washington will be bringing former Marquette commit Maurice Creek with them as their leading scorer.  They are a young team that has four sophomores in it's top seven, but also features former Villanova Wildcat Isaiah Armwood as their second leading scorer.

Creek actually never committed to MU, but we were heavily on him and then when Crean went to IU he committed to Crean.  If TC hadn't left, Creek would have played for MU.

I watched last night's game between Gonzaga and Dayton. Gonzaga is awful. I have no idea how they are even a top 25 team. Stockton is absolutely garbage.

That Creighton/ASU match up will be interesting.  Too much important sports on the tube to eat turkey.   ?-(

The 10 PM tipoff is not ideal after the mass quantity of foods consumed but family engagements and commitments should be done by then.

Same could be said for MU

Completely slipped my mind that ASU was in this too.  How can we not want another piece of them?  Winning this thing with redemption would be sweet.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

As much as I would love another crack at ASU, the best thing for us and our conference is if its us and Creighton

Considering that Southern and New Hampshire gave us tough games, I don't think we should get too puffy based on one relatively encouraging loss.

This might be one of those years in which we are good enough to beat just about anyone if we're on our game but are flawed enough to lose to just about anyone if we don't play well.

I'll be happy if we don't look past Fullerton, and then we'll go on from there.

With the team i've seen so far this year i wouldn't count anything "easy" unless we're playing Grambling.  We'll have to battle for this tournament.

Team Bubble Watch could be back in full force this year.  May as well stop cutting our nails now.

When did the A-10 become a mid-major league?
