Really ?  You expect better production from your starting PG?

Astute observation.  Never heard that one before.  ::)

Free jake Thomas !     Nobody else can score

Derrick Wilson.  O pts. 2 assists.  Against New Hampshire. It is like playing 4 on 5.

We may have to take a more serious look at my idea of having Brooklyn play the point for the men's team too.  She can make free throws, rather than our starting point guard who can't play in the final minute because he can't do that either.

Anyone listening to Homer tonight?  How does he sound?

Like nothing happened - Sounds great!

Buzz has sat D. Wilson last like 8 minutes.  Can't keep him in at end of close game, because it will be a "hack a Derrick".  Just took Otule out for same.

4 point game, at home, against this team is just brutal.

Any freshmen that would walk into BC could play over the guards we are starting and that confirms my point. Buzz knows th two guards cannot cut and still plays them. That his way of being cute or quirky. If you took a poll of a thousand casual and asked them if our two guards should be playing what do you think response would be?

Aside from you I do not think one person on here believes these two guards are best option. Take it back, LabWarrior would take your side just because.  I would take the pimple faced kid in Row U in section 402 over who is playing.

OK, I understand that Jake and Derrick have struggled.  But on what basis do JJJ and Dawson deserve more time?  What exactly have they done?  Neither has scored tonight...0-6 combined.  Neither has set the world on fire by any respect.

Honestly, I like who they had on the floor at the end.  Backcourt of Jamil, Jake and Todd.

Golden Avalanche

I tell ya, with three players (and two starters) fouled out for UNH, Marquette has done a tremendous job stepping on the wounded animal's throat to close out this game.

Nevada233

Jamil and davante playing like freshmen.

madtownwarrior

Craptacular performance against a craptacular team.  MU-RAH-RAH

You don't need your everyone to score.  4 on 5 is a stupid cliche.

Derrick does need to be more productive on the offensive end.  He can do that in ways other than scoring though.  He isn't doing that right now.

Otule's Glass Eye

Absolutely pathetic output tonight.

No production and he sits, and thats what Buzz has done to him in second half.

Yeah I agree.  As I said, Jamil, Todd and Mayo was the best back court tonight.

Of all the freshman, Deonte is the one that deserve the more time.

You meant Jake, Todd and Jamil, as did the announcer, former coach Wenzel.

Derrick did not only not score, but he was terrible with fouls, etc. The little things Buzz hates.

Agree with Burton, but still don't get the minutes Anderson got and Tayllor/Burton didn't.

madtownwarrior

So obviously he can't score. What value add is he adding on the offensive side ?

Jamil and davante playing like freshmen.

It's easy to pile it on D. Wilson and Thomas, but I think Jamil,Todd, and Gardner are the ones that need to and more importantly are capable of playing a lot better.

Yes, thanks for the correction.  And I think Juan is better in smaller doses as well.

Gardner looked like he didn't want to be there.  He was 1 for 6 on FGs, 3 for 7 on FTs and had 4 turnovers. I thought it was one of his worst games, especially against an opponent like this.

Davante is the one I couldn't figure out tonight. He was bad on both ends, bricking some shots, missing free throws and being lost on D.  If that happens against ASU, we're in trouble.

Sorry but he has given the freshmen opportunities to prove themselves and they can't score and are beaten on D all the time. Therfore you go with experience. He has tried playing Deonte several times , he misses layups takes shots he shouldn't take and is terrible on D. What is he suppose to do. JJJ can't score and is terrible on D, he falls all the time trying to guard his man off the dribble.

And Jake is at least giving REAL good effort on the defensive end.

Buzz better practice playing against packed in zones cuz' that's all we are going to see

Seriously. I watched the ASU game last night, Carson is the real deal. Gonna be a tough game, and the boys are going to need to show up.

+1.  Hell I might even start him.  This guy has more killer instinct than the rest of the team combined.
