Burton had a nice drive and finger roll that just missed, and suddenly he's benched. No Dawson, no JJ while Derrick and Mayo are stinking up the place.

Buzz is trying to see if a team leader will emerge.  Leave them in the fire and see if they can come together as a group.  Putting the freshman in accomplishes nothing at this point.

He has said in the past that in the non-conference he will let runs go on (not call timeout) to see if the guys can figure it out (establish a leader)...right now no leader is stepping up.  Mayo is trying (to take over), but we really need a vocal leader to get the guys together as a team.

I put this all on buzz. Are they playing horribly? Yes but it's your job to make the decisions/substitutions to get things rolling. No movement on Buzz's part at all.

The GB loss was up in northern Wisconsin on a cold winter night with plenty of home cooking. This was against OSU on National TV on our home court. This was really bad.

Agree completely. It's absurd. A bad game in November against a quality opponent. Frustrating, yes, but not that big a deal. All Buzz's teams have improved over the course of a season. He's earned some slack and faith that he'll have us going strong by the end of the season.
