One of the top uncommitted seniors in the state of Illinois is now off the board, as 6-8 PF Josh Crittle of Hales Franciscan committed to Oregon. Crittle will join his longtime Meanstreets AAU teammates; Matt Humphrey and Mike Dunnigan as Oregon Ducks.

Crittle chose to end the recruiting process today as he chose Oregon over Minnisota, Marquette, Kansas State, Southern Illinois and others. Crittle is a long, versatile forward with tons of upside and is expected to be an impact player for the Ducks.

Crittle will suit up this year for Chicago Hales Franciscan, along with fellow Oregon commit Matt Humphrey. Crittle and Humphrey, a 6-5 SG, are arguably the top duo in the state, and are expected to make a splash this season playing in the Chicago Catholic League. The team also features a number of other division one prospects including juniors DJ Cooper and Jordan Walker, and sophomore Brandon Spearman.

Thanks Dan, though last week we heard that he was "no longer an option".

Sounds like he found a good fit though - good luck to him.

Gotta hope for Oregon to hit the skids because with Malik out there and now Crittle, you don't want a West Coast team (or any non-midwest team for that matter) siphoning talent away from the heartland.

Not to mention the potential of USC becoming a bigger basketball draw.  And let's not forget San Diego State. ;)
