I am guessing you are the one on the left.

Yep...can always tell Keefe by his Aviator Goggles.

Guy on the left is too tall to be an military pilot, isn't he?  Keefe must be the guy on the right or in the middle.

On the Ohio State game, you may as well wear gold, it will be a defacto gold out, even if not planned. Most bigger games have a lot of gold at them, so wear gold.

Is it sold out?  Most of these early season games don't sell out.  So it would be nice if this is already a sell out.

[Insert Color] Outs never work unless the team is handing out shirts. I'd rather MU save the several thousand dollars and just rely on the fans being smart enough to wear gold for every game.

TicketMaster has very few tickets available and they are all in the nosebleeds. A sell-out is pretty much a lock at this point. I expected as much for a saturday afternoon game against a top 10 team when we're nationally ranked as well. I know it's November, but I have high expectations for our fan base-what can I say.

Actually, from the looks of his cod piece, I would say the guy on the left is too short to be an Air Force fighter pilot. Could be a Naval Aviator, though. Or French.

Yeah... that's never been a problem for us.   :o

I haven't found any good looking gold gear, although I tend not to prefer it as a primary color so I lean towards the blues.  My go-to MU apparel is either royal or baby blue, and will continue to be so.

And you call yourself a fan.

Do you think that University of Tennessee fans go about their normal lives wearing that obnoxious shade of orange?

On second thought, many of them actually do........

I happen to enjoy orange despite my wife's objections, so...

Just because you have wings of lead and can only aspire to possess wings of gold does not mean you can do something as undignified as associate a brown shoe Navy man with the French.  That, sir, is completely beneath even a zoomie's moral character.

Ah, but I do have Wings of Gold (and a goat skin G-1 to pin them on, too!) I did a PEP tour flying Prowlers with CVW 5 embarked aboard CV 41. 212 traps on the Maru. I have nothing but the highest regard for my brown shoed brethren. Very different tactical doctrine but superb aviators in their own right.

But you are absolutely correct. To compare anyone, even Navy pukes, with the French is a grave insult. I apologize.

My dad was a Xerox salesman in Nashville in the '70's (Ernie and Bernie era).  One of his prospects said he would buy a copy machine from him if he could have an orange one.  Somehow, my dad managed to get one for him.  I think they might have spray-painted it in the Xerox parking lot.

That's my outfit for the OSU game.

Dammit!  I hate showing up some place where someone has the same outfit on as me.

I hope I kept that receipt........

A while ago the spirit shop had gold fleece tops, I really like mine.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I love Steve McQueen and I know the student section was better when I was in school.

You finally found one that was MU-colored. lol

The best yellow shirt was from the first year in the BE.
They sold them in the Spirit Shop and had the number of the player in the front like so:

MARQUETTE

   MU   2

BASKETBALL

On the back was the Big East logo.

Awesome shirts. Should have collected the whole team.

Apology accepted as clearly you are a man of taste.  Did you know Eddie Kent?  He was a GIB on Prowlers off the Mid in the late 80s when he was a FNG.  He was my freshman class adviser for NROTC, great guy.

Didn't know Kent but I'm sure a lot of my Prowler buddies do. I was in 136 under Frog Ford and Hollywood McKinney. Both were outstanding officers. Frog was the Super CAG on the Indy the first night of Desert Storm. Hollywood ended up wearing stars and ran the whole Naval Air Acquisitions program.

Midway is a legendary ship. We were the only forward deployed Air Wing and spent a lot of time haze gray and underway. I'll never forget my first night cat shot or trying to land at night in Sea State 5. Trust me - I have the deepest respect for naval aviation and the brave men who make the most demanding operating environment seem simple. It gave me a keen appreciation for 8,000' of stationary concrete.

Are you still in?
