Shirt Color...
« on: November 04, 2013, 09:39:42 AM »
Good Day!

I need to buy my family gear for the OSU game.... is there a specific color that should be worn that day? What color are the student fanatic shirts?

The standard student color is gold.  No word so far if there is something special planned for that day (like baby blue).

Frankly, I wish MU had more gold options for alumni.  I have a gold print oxford I frequently wear.  Years ago they did a solid gold oxford that my buddy has worn to every NCAA game he has attended in person with a perfect undefeated record.  Sure the sweatshirt or polo is always an option but sometimes the situation calls for something a step up.

Just because you're not a student, doesn't mean you can't wear a gold t-shirt, sweatshirt or jersey.

If you're an adult, you should NEVER wear a basketball jersey to attend a game.

I have always been a fan of the MU striped rugby. What is the consensus on this style choice for the 40 year old MU hoops fan?

I usually go with the striped rugby too.  I have a Brooks Brothers blue & gold wool sweater also.

He makes many as evidenced by our deep runs in recent years.  Perhaps we should simply have Larry foot the travel bill.  His shirt is one reason I KNEW Van was going to score on that final Davidson possession.

The blue and gold rugby is absolutely timeless and a great choice.

And it'll be absolutely wonderful to see Fr. Wild sporting the gold sweater.  I hope the students give him a HUGE ovation.

Maybe not the best avenue of research for that question. I'd be willing to guess that Scoopers are a sartorially challenged bunch.

Get yourself 1 of the long sleeved Jordan brand shirts at the spirit store, any color.  Stylish, simple, ballin', and has no age limits.

If it ain't the blue and gold rugby, it's got to be gold.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

The attire worn by those in the good seats includes yellow sweater, turtle-neck, tan slacks, and a gray/bald head.  Hearing aide optional.

I wear jerseys to games all the time. I also wear them to bars to watch games. I'm not sure what the issue is

I wear jerseys as well, on occasion. Is there some unwritten law that states I can't wear jerseys that I paid good $ for?

A grown man in a replica basketball jersey complete with t-shirt under it. If you don't understand the problem, I can't help you.

You might run into some trouble wearing your jersey in Saudi Arabia.
