Any insights as to why we would not have cracked ESPNs top 25 Class Ranking with the addition of Hill?  You'd think with two solid top 100's and a fringer in Harris we'd at least enter the top 25?  Thoughts?  Does anyone follow the other recruiting sites for their perspectives?

My guess is that it is because these rankings are only updated periodically - not every day.

Though the same thing today. Especially when people who only have one commit are ahead of MU. I dunno how the rankings work so im not here to speculate but I was thinking the same thing the other day.

Last I checked Marquette was #11 on 247 sports. That's the only site I know that updates every day.

The rankings up there now include Okonoboh and Onuaku, who committed on 10/3 and 10/4 respectively.  Our team site also includes Hill as a commit.  I know it's likely not every day, but it looks like they've done it within the last week or so.

As striker said.  One thing to note is that we're 4th in the BEast.  Yeah, nobody can recruit to the conference.   ::)

The classes are updated, but ESPN's rankings aren't. Nova is at 24 with two recruits at 82 and 93.

ESPN has Hill at 51 and Cohen at 84. Harris is graded at 79, the top 100 cut-off is 81. So we'll pretty clearly leapfrog them.

I think the rankings are updated maybe once a month. We will be in there once they updated, provided a bunch of other schools don't go on commitment runs in the next few weeks

This week's class rankings see three new entrants: Marquette, San Diego State and USC. But those aren't the only teams to watch. Here are four things you need to know about the class rankings, from LSU's big splash to Kansas' momentum and much more.

Who they have: Coach Buzz Williams has added size, versatility and scoring on the perimeter, starting with two ESPN 100 selections in SG Ahmed Hill (Augusta, Ga./Aquinas), who is a tough physical scorer and in-state star SF Sandy Cohen (Green Bay, Wis./Seymour), who can make plays off the bounce. Add highly competitive and productive PF Malek Harris (Orland, Park, Ill./Carl Sandburg), and the Golden Eagles have three in the fold who are very good fits for the culture of Marquette's program.

Who they want: SF Marial Shayok (Ottawa, Ontario/Blair Academy) is an athletic wing with good size and perimeter skill who has been a priority. But now, the main focus for Williams and his staff is to add a post presence, and PF Tory Miller (Lee's Summit, Mo./New Hampton) is the wide-body physical finisher and rebounder who is at the top of the list.

ESPN dropped Malek Harris from a 4* to a 3* last month and he fell out of the top 100,they said he didn't have a great summer. I think Scout is much more accurate and 247 updated today!

If MU finishes off this class with a quality big (or 2), it could end up top 10.  No worries.
