Sir Lawrence

Heard this morning that Gary is pretty ill/hospitalized.  Prayers up.  I heard ticker, but could be wrong.

If true, thoughts and prayers are with Gary. That team is slowly leaving us.

Saying a prayer now for Gary.

Gary was the kind of guy we needed last year a guy who could shoot from the outside. Back when there were no 3 point shots Gary was still important to that championship team. Wish him the best.

Here's hoping he's fine. We're thinking of you Gary.

Was in my class at MU. Sometimes think if he played more recently, he'd have been a star. His shot from long range was deadly and just what the doctor ordered to allow us to pound it in to Bo and Jerome or free some room up so Butch could drive the basket.

Get well dude.

BCHoopster

Played a little summer ball with Gary at Hyde Park.  One little story about one game we played, it was windy, really windy.  I was playing with Jerry Homan, Allie, Ace Vollmer, pretty
good team.  Gary was playing with a bunch of his high school buddies.  I never in my life played against a player in the wind that mush have made 15 field goals from 25 feet or further.
He was unconscious, it was really amazing under the circumstances.  He beat us single handily.  If there was a three point line back then Jim Boylan or even Butch would not have been
the backcourt.  Get well.

The way I remember him shooting, with a 3-pt. line he would have been to college ball what Ray Allen has been in the league.

Things are not good for Rose.

Goose

Big time prayers for Gary.

I heard through an ex- player that they removed him from life support. Prayers to his family. I think that is the third player lost recently, all 58 years old.

Waaaaaay too young.   Kick in the gut.

Prayers for him and his family.

The team's reunion in the Happy Hoops Court may sadly come earlier than we all expected.

keefe

This is very sad news. I remember him walking around campus in a waist length sheepskin jacket, always with a huge grin. I shall think of him in my reverent thoughts.

Death on call

RIP.  Been a bad few years for this team, too many funerals.

Goose

RIP Rosie. Great person and flat out could shoot the rock.

mileskishnish72

He was money. RIP, Rosey.

RIP Mr. Rosenberger. As Shoeless Joe (Ray Liotta) said in Field of Dreams, "You were good!!"
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Not much about his post Marquette life.  Nothing about family.  I suppose that will come with the announcement of services.

RIP, Lefty - best pure shooter in Marquette history.
