I am now a Cable / Satellite free agent as we have been released from the shackles of Sports 32.

I like having Watch ESPN available for TWC.  Do Dish, DIRECT or AT&T all have that option?

I'm in the same boat.  TWC Sports 32 still runs the Buzz Williams show though...

OTOH, MU has a stretch of 5 of 7 at the BC from 1/25 to 2/19.

Thurs., Feb. 27: Georgetown at Marquette, 8 p.m.  (FS1)

Schedule could be a lot worse. Only 1 Saturday Monday turn around. (Georgetown has 3) no more than 2 games on the road in a row (Georgetown has a stretch of 3 straight on the road).  Those two areas in bold will be the most challenging stretches.

DISH's ESPN contract expires end of this month.  Big article in Wall Street Journal today about Charlie Ergen seriously considering dropping ESPN altogether due to cost.  I doubt it happens, but he's a crazy man.

DIRECTV will have Watch ESPN likely next year when their contract is up with ESPN.  Basically Disney has been using it as a chit in negotiations.  DTV and others have wanted it for a long time, but Disney has said no unless they carry Longhorn Network, pay a king's ransom for the programming, etc, etc.  So I would guess in 2014 is when the Watch ESPN app for DTV.  Can't speak for AT&T, not sure where they stand.

Way too early prediction:

13-5 conference record this year. (Projected Losses @CREIGH, @SJU, @GTWN, @NOVA, and our annual loss to a conference opponent we should have beat)

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

FSN ----> Does that mean the game could end up on the YES Network, for example?

I don't think so, but not sure.  Are you talking about the 18 regional games?  Might be they go on the alternate channel overflow that some providers have and some don't.

Question:  Could MU possibly play ASU twice or is the game at ASU part of the Wooden?

I'm looking forward to a rematch against Miami too, that would be a fun game.
I'm thinking GW beats Miami.

Since the game falls on a college football Saturday and the time start of 1:15pm, it has BTN wriiten all over it.

Just noticed you do have some other 1 day rest turn arounds. Was not use to Sunday-tuesday and Thursday-saturday turn arounds. So you actually have 4 games on 1 day rest.

The schedule on GoMarquette shows every single game televised on FS1, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FOX, FSN, CBS or CBS SPORTS.  I am a very happy man, and I love me some DIRECTV. Now, can it be November yet??? Please???
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

What's with this FSN? Southern and Samford won't be big misses here out East, buy my niece went to SHU and I want to see that one. Will have to hope for streaming, I guess. I thought the big deal with Fox Sports 1 was that ALL BE games would be aired. What happened to that happy thought? Delayed telecast?

No TV for Wisconsin?

FSN means it'll be on a FOX regional sport's network.  I'm guessing that since FOX owns a chunk of YES that the Marquette FSN games will end up there especially against Seton Hall of which I expect to watch that one live anyway.

Since the game falls on a college football Saturday and the time start of 1:15pm, it has BTN wriiten all over it.

There are six regular FBS games scheduled for 12/7... the only compelling games of which are OSU/OK and Baylor/Texas, the rest which are AAC throwaways.  Otherwise, it's conference championships for everyone else, and the big games will all be in primetime.

CUSA - afternoon (ESPN2 or ABC)
MWC - 9:00p (CBSN)
ACC - TBA (ESPN or ABC)
Pac 12 - 8:00p (ESPN or ABC)
Big 10 - 7:00p (FOX)
SEC - TBA (CBS)

So on the football side, Wisconsin/Marquette is up against the CUSA championship, one of the Big 12 games, and a bunch of AAC games.  BTN is probable, but it's not out of the question that ESPN2 or U could pick it up... maybe even CBS or FOX (who owns half the BTN) if they want to fill their afternoon with something.  The question is what other compelling basketball match-ups are scheduled that day?
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
