Aug. 29 - Official visit to MU

Right during the Harley 110th! It will be crazy in Milwaukee that Thursday-Sunday.

Lammers looks like a Cole Aldrich in the making.

He's going to have to bulk up for the bruising on the block, keep the energy and fitness up for going baseline to baseline, and develop more of a frontcourt gameas he will probably play tat at the next level.

I remember watching Joe Wolf in HS.  Something like 6'10", 210.  2 years at NC and he was a beast.

I hope you're not comparing Lammers to Joe Wolf.

How does he get a hotel room in town, I am sure they are all booked

In my opinion this would increase the chance of getting Stone. Stone is higher rated so he should not be afraid of MU signing another center. However, he would be crazy to go to MU, if he was the only big body on the team. To improve you need to pratice against other big people. Besides that how many minutes does a center realisically play in a game? I would say an average of 28 minutes a game for a starting center would be a lot, so there are plenty of minutes for two centers.
That makes sense.  Still shows Stone is our #1 priority while not leaving MU totally "centerless" if we fail to sign him.  Also if Stone goes 1 and done or 2 and done you have an upper classman to play the 5 (maturity is really important for post players) until you can replace him.

It's an official visit so he'll stay with the team
Bring back FFP!!!

I guess at this point, they'll be lucky to find a room at the No-Tell Motel in Cudahy.

I love how we get all worried about stuff like this.  I'm sure Buzz and Co. have it figured out.  (I wouldn't doubt that MU has rooms set aside somewhere for all sorts of campus visitors.)

Blammers.  ("+1" is so cliche)

If you disagree, see the example of Chris Otule & Davante Gardner.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Not at all.  Only talking about capacity to fill out.

Here's a highlight tape of his team when he was a sophomore created by one of his teammates.

Here's a highlight tape of his team when he was a sophomore. He broke his schools all-time career blocks record in one season. The kid was one of the most dominant players on the floor when he was 15 and he has only improved since. The ranking system of players in high school is flawed. If you don't go to a well known prep school you normally don't get much exposure (which is the case here). His basketball IQ, defensive game, and passing ability make him a top player in the nation in my opinion.

Welcome to the board! I hope your son enjoys MU on his visit!

That teams pretty damn good for high schoolers. Although, I laugh everytime I see a mix tape of an all-white team with background music shouting the n-word every 5 seconds.

MattyWarrior

I agree the ranking system is flawed. Buzz must like this kid and he looks mobile and poised to me, and plays D.
In Buzz We Trust. So far we have a good class going on, lets finish it up with a center!

I would bet that his son is Dylan, not Ben.

We need a big and Ben sounds like an athletic center who likes to be physical. 2 years and 20 pounds later and we have  a  big after Mckay

Two years from now we have Diamond Stone running the interior.

So even if Buzz thinks Lammers can be a very good college center, he shouldn't sign him because Stone might come to Marquette? And because it's never a good idea to have more than one capable center on a college roster?

Wow... you got all that from me saying that we'll have Stone? You're reading wayyy too much into things. All I was saying was that Lammers wouldn't start.

I appreciate the optimism, but where is this coming from? Aside from conflicting "insider" reports, I haven't seen anything to suggest Stone is locked up for anyone.

Right on, does anybody think that you need 2 centers at least, Stone even if he comes to MU will not play 40 minutes a game.  I will give him 30 as a freshman, tops.  MU will sign 2 bigs
this fall or spring, has anybody heard the word, competition!
