I still nearly sh!t my pants watching this.  Being in the stands for it was insane.

Even know what was going to happen this still gave me chills.

Absolutely incredible.

I think the appropriate Subject line should read

Thank you Lord.

Blue made the winner, but Jamil was cold blooded.

Jamil as a senior could be special.

The good news is that 46-47warriorcaptain signed off for good.

I've watched it a few times.    Things I've noticed.   Jake had perfect positioning.   For some reason, Davidson face-guarded him.   Thanks, Davidson.   DG got beat badly on that back-door.    He just was (past tense because I think he will be better this year) not a good defender in space.  It's a good think it went in.   JWilson was trailing and was ready to fly at the rim for a follow, but he slipped as he planted to go up.   DG was in a good spot but in a wrestling match.   I don't know that he would have gotten a tip.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Yes. Man, so many reasons to be excited for this season. Just the fact that we were able to facilitate such a rally is amazing. VERY few teams last year could have done that.

Ha--exactly.  I'm shaking a little bit from watching that again. Incredible.

Thanks for posting. I remember being in turns hopeful, then grateful, seeing it on  TV live. Now it makes me realize how much I want this season to begin!

Thank you for this post.  All is good.

Thanks for this.  I was a work, checking the scoreboard, I saw we were down 7, expecting a dreadful weekend of no hoops and being a grouchy a-hole to whomever approached.  Then we were up 1.  F+ing  amazing.  God, I love that team.  Ring Out Ahoya...

I keep watching and waiting for Davidson to pee down their leg and MU to be so lucky. OK, Davidson did have one (1) turnover down the stretch, but they made 3/4 free throws and scored 7 points in their final 5 possessions? Is 1.2 points per possession gagging? I thought it was pretty damn good. Unfortunately for Davidson, MU scored an ungodly 13 points in those same last 5 possessions. Call us lucky if you will, but all of the shots we made were pure. Epic.

Buzz Williams  "We're lucky to still be standing"

Understatement of the year.  Glad it worked out, sometimes better to be lucky than good. We were really good against Butler and Miami.  Not so good against Davidson, but you take it.

Is that how the game looked through your crimson and cream glasses?

I was watching the game at work.  I was going crazy jumping up and down screaming.  I work in a kitchen and when I saw the bucket go in I ran out to the bar to catch the shot again off of the 10 second delay we had.

Anytime you win a close game in a win or go home format you're "lucky to be still standing". Sorta like how IU was lucky to be still standing after Temple, though I don't recall TC admitting as much.

There he is--like clockwork.

MU stood tall and came through. Didn't fold; kept fighting. Bottle was tipped, but they stuck together.

Buzz's "we're lucky" is more about him being humble than anything else.

Marquette simply remained "Warriors" when times were tough and reaped the benefits.

Just a matter of time before someone reminds him how stupid Crean looked when he team got waxed by Syracuse...despite all that NBA talent.

Oh dont worry...Crean will learn from that loss. The match-ups for the ACC-B1G Challenge came out not too long ago. Looks like Crean will have to figure out the zone in the Carrier Dome.   :D

IU has back-to-back Top 8 recruiting classes. Crean is ready to reload for a Final 4 run.  Bank it.

I'd gladly bet that if you put t cap on the time span. 2 years? 3 years? No problem.

IU isnt the only program bringing in great talent. Over the next 3 years, UK will prob win 1 of those. So, you're down to 2 chances.

C'mon, there was nothing unfair about that.

MU stunk for 39 minutes of that game, you bet there was some luck involved.
